When he pricked her and realized what she was, I think he thought he finally found his equal he waited for so long....since he is the darkling he was drawn to her innocence and sunlight as she was his opposite. I wanna see more of them in season 2...I hope the writers and Leigh will modify their relationship in the next season.

I think Ben humanized the Darkling way more than it was intented in comparison to the books.... That's why a lot of the fans want them together on the show! Also the amazing chemistry between Ben and Jessie!! 🔥🔥 P.S. really really great video!

I 100% agree with you on this. Ben Barnes humanizes the Darkling, with his nuances and beautifully done portrayal of him. They have a “moth to a flame” chemistry together. Want and need more of them in season 2! #darklina

I love the idea that Alina. The most important part of her, her heart & soul screaming out echoing thru her gift as Sun Summoner LOVES ALEKSANDER! She can deny it but if both of them die together. Their gifts dying with them & her left cold & truly alone. Left with nothing. A man that never truly appreciated her. Darklina is very much like Zutara in the sense that both ships truly show the beauty of finding belonging in someone despite all odds & in eternally superior fashion. The untapped potential in both ships speaks for itself. Zutara has been on top for more than a decade. Darklina Supremacy is ETERNAL & soo intriguing and intoxicating in it's delicious complexity

This was really good, wow. I genuinely don't understand how Alina and the Darkling aren't together, like literally. They are soulmates, darkness and light, yin and yang. Hell, even Ben Barnes said it himself. Just because Mal is the good guy does not mean he and Alina belong together. The Darkling and Alina they defy each other, they challenge each other, it's so interesting. Yes, the Darkling is manipulative and he is violent, but that's what he was taught in order to survive. I mean to be honest I think Zlatan is more of a bastard, letting Fjerdans in, so they can raid the docks and kidnap and kill Grisha, no wonder the Darkling wants to kill them. Throughout the decades he's only had himself for company, to make decisions, and he's become colder and crueller because well, of time. With Alina, he doesn't feel alone anymore, he feels like he could spend forever with her. That moment where she touches his hand and the light just exploded, his face! His face said it all. It's like he's saying I've finally found someone, and Alina could really be his balance. I feel like when she said to him that he didn't give her a choice, neither did she. When Baghra took her, she should've went back and gotten the truth out of the Darkling, she knows him better than bloody Baghra, he would've told her I think, and she could decide from there. She doesn't get how much the Grisha had to suffer and maybe he could've told her that so she could understand. I feel like he really wants to protect Alina as she is the only one like him, and, if they got the chance, the other side would try to kill her. I swear, there is literally so much potential with these two they're really interesting and complex characters. I hope Netflix realises because God knows I'm going to fucking lose it if they don't.

I dont think that the chemistry of the villian and the lead charather can this be strong and so enchanting that you'd wish to have more of them together , and not to have hate the villian like how it use to in other stories instead fall in love with it for a considered main dark charather such as the darkling whose clearly a deep sense in him that there's more too him than what he lets on others too see. That would let you fall on him billiant proformance from the cast ben barnes portrial as aleksander kirigan the darkling was so perfecly match .👏👏👏👏❤❤❤
