Never heard of this route before to be honest and watched this over 3 separate days, with it being a biggie. It was a shame about Danni and what a boggy old trail it was in places and you are not alone in not liking walking past cows. It looked a real fun group, despite the inclement weather and Steve's back playing him up - good old Martin! Some lovely villages on this walk and always nice to have an outdoors pint at the pub. Nice to see you getting some sun but sorry to hear you had been so ill - what a mare! Part two sounds challenging and I see you are killing more hiking partners lol, cheers Alan

Great feature that you can identify permissible areas to wild camp. “This is the way” Matt, morning tipple! Very early in the year for hikes, they are more playful when they are first let out too. I just got back from doing a variation of the Dartmoor Way (starting in Ivybridge, heading straight north up the 2 Moors Way to Chagford, then taking the western half of Dartmoor Way back down to Ivybridge). The Hiiker app was absolutely essential; the purple trail markers come and go, and are often ambiguous. There was also more pavement walking than these videos show; nothing unpleasant, mainly just country lanes, and pedestrian/bike paths, especially coming in and out of Tavistock. The open moors were a bit bleak and spooky, but that was more due to the weather. The woodland bits were fantastic.

It's horrid to come down with a tummy bug on the trail! I wonder if we're more susceptible when we're pushing our bodies? Might be a good idea to build in a couple of contingency days for the Cape Wrath so you can take a rest day or two if needed

The sample packs are now £6.99. Also the full price items are astronomical. £200 for 60 servings . It does save you money in the long term but I wouldn't want to eat the same thing day after day and too expensive to buy more than one at a time. But thank you for advertising it as its always great to find new trail food xx

I was hoping to hear how you got on with it because i bought the Pro version which i really like but its just me and it would be a tight squeeze for 2 but its well made and pitches mega quick and its not an inner first which i really like too. Hi 😃😃😃 I recovered quickly, the litetrek is awesome but my new one is much lighter, so I manage better with it on the longer hikes x I highly recommend the salewa though it’s like a tank in high winds and bad weather … has always been spot on x I hope you get on ok with yours!
