James Baker is exceptional, 1 of the rare breed who can do anything. Chief of staff, Treasury, State. I think he could have been President if he ran for office. He accomplished so much and is still so sharp at 88.

Reaching Across The Aisle. I think this is his governability in the all sectors. How nice, David. Mr. Baker sustains a state of small towns, a nation of small productive corporations, and the firm control of penny, five centers, 10, the Quarter.

Reading Jim Baker's book. It's a nice read. No doubt he was in power at an interesting time- cold war, fall of soviet union, bringing down of the Berlin wall, the success of the Iraq war. Great achievements. Not sure what has gone wrong since then. Can only think social media has exacerbated extreme views, making it harder to find common ground. Also less able leaders perhaps.
