If Dave Blackburn ever reads these comments, I'd like to know the mic system on the guitar, the pedal(s) he used and the amp system. The tone is just big and deep. I'm already familiar with Alvarez guitars, I still have my first one, a 5022.

Dave replying: these days all my acoustics have Barbera Soloist pickups running simply into a K&K Pure Mini preamp into a Strymon Big Sky Reverb. Much of the tone is in the tunings themselves and the string gauges used. I have acrylic nails. In older videos my setup was different.
