Hi to Hello Lester - Much thanks for squeezing us in for a quick update. I know it’s relief for all of to see you smiling and in good spirits. Hard to imagine, but the remnants of Beryl will be making a showing all the way into Ontario, Canada, where I am. They are saying not to expect high winds, but Beryl could bring torrential rains. I can tell you that I’ll be out searching my property after, not so much for any damage, but who knows? Maybe an *ostrich* feather from Carl or Tat might blow its way all the way here!! 🤣 Stay safe and keep well Lester, send an Hello to Jami and let her know we’re thinking of her, and do know that I’ll be grabbing front row seats later for, “Lester and Liquor” 😉 Well, you said it cant be called TOT! Just remember to put your dentures in ahead of time, and all will be great!! 🤣☺️💗

I was blessed that my Daddy always said be sure that you never let your gas tank go below half. He also would be the one to prepare for every incoming storm regardless where we lived, MN, CO, MO.

Glad it wasn't as bad as it could have been. My sister has a small generator and my daughter has a Blueetti. Hey. I rode out Allison in my boat. My mom called at 3am checking on me. I told her I was ok..Just surrounded by water😂. It wasn't too bad and I was on floating docks. Had to retie once and never lost cable..lol. But like you, it might have been a 36ft yacht, but never again..lol. Hope we don't get anymore.🎉 Just hope power comes back soon. Glad yall are ok❤

I love your Dad but you are correct, anyone who has a choice should always choose better, if not for their own sake then for their family & rescue teams. Hubby & I are pretty worried about the dam there, many are praying for catastrophy to be avoided. We share your frustration with lack of transparency from local,state & federal Governments. They have all forgotten it is the PEOPLE's lives,liberty & MONEY.

Oh wow! It has to be so hard on them on their way home! Yes in Montana we may get very cold and have snow but we thank goodness never have to worry about hurricanes and very seldom tornadoes, I am glad they enjoyed the beauty of our beautiful state of Montana!

Going to the Sun Highway in Glacier Park is so beautiful! That should be on everyone’s bucket list. I went hiking there in the late 70’s and saw a bear on the trail😬Western Montana is absolutely stunning!

I feel your pain. I'm 52yrs old and work in the woods. I plant trees, split wood,haul brush out of the woods and chip wood with a wood chipper. My body aches bythe end of my shift. Lol

My sister went through a Derecho a few years ago. No power for 9 days. She drove about an hour to my place to shower, do laundry and dishes, and fill up water gallons. She has a nice neighbor that loaned her a small generator. She had to drive to where I live to get a huge cooler. The stores around where she lives were 13:06 without power. No gas cans available for days. Power lines were down, street signs were bent over,trees were down and street lights were out. She was driving in the dark and was going through the lights because you couldn’t see them. It was scary for her. She now has a whole home generator. Insurance only covered part of the meat in her freezer. It was a learning experience. I live with 59 more apartments and we don’t have a generator. I’m not sure if our power was out for over a week what people would do. There’s talk of the grid going down. Can you imagine how little time it takes to make it chaos? In the big cities where people don’t keep a pantry of groceries it’s got to be worse.

I moved to Maryland from Ft.Myers Florida. I lived on the Island of Ft. Myers Beach 2014. In 2002 a tropical storm put a branch through the ceiling. I had moved my daughter into my bed that night before I went to bed. Thank God I did. All the debris landed on her little toddler bed. 🕊️🤟 Hurricane Ian wiped out the island. I know 2 idiots who ended up holding onto Palm trees through the storm. Literally. Middle of the road weather for me.

Your right Lester my grandpa on my dads side was that way. He was very stubburn it was his way or no way . One time i came over and me and my grandma went to the kitchen and she made us a screw driver ( i was only 17 ) anywho we sit down and started talking and just sipping our drinks . Well be for you know it here came my grandpa Gus , he grabed my drink and his wife telling her she should know better and we watch that delicious drink going down the sink . I looked at my grandma and she started calling him a party pooper i started laughing and my grandpa started gripping more at my grandma while she kept calling him a party pooper 😂 !!! Oh my gosh i havent thought about that in many years . Anytime is a good time for memories and being with your love ones and i am so glade they werent in the house and those kids God knows the timing cause he knows what going to happen tomorrow his time is not ours so he sees into the future. Thank you God for keeping all of them safe ⚘️🫠⚘️🙏⚘️❤️⚘️ !!!!!!!!

Although I am sure that the 3 of you could have gotten the tree off of the roof, it wasn't worth one of you getting seriously hurt (or worse). You Forgot Your JIM BEAM & DR. PEPPER YOU WOULD OF FELT BETTER, yes they do sell tie downs for RV. I have large anchor bolts in my concrete pad to secure my RV works great. Been through a lot of hurricanes here in S.C.😮😊

I'm glad you have a good relationship with Juan Ventura. That surely took some stress off of Steph and Buddy. Can you just have the barndominium reclassified as a shed so you can use it for storage? Supposedly they finished the repairs on the dam a day or two before the hurricane. Maybe that's why they don't want anyone around it.

There was no way that I knew it was going to rain that hard. I came home for work at lunch one day. There was no rain at my job area. I went by freeway & then suddenly a water spout showed up in front of me. The saying "turn around don't drown" didn't apply that day. So much rain came I was floating on the freeway in my little Kia Soul. There was not enough drainage in that part of the freeway it flooded it. I went a little ways & found solid ground right before I exited the freeway. You talk about scared😮. But I made it.

With so many people wanting to donate. Maybe you could make a place for them to do so with the understanding that all the funds will be donated to people in true need. Ask the police and charities to give you a list of people, preferably seniors or families with equipment dependent physical or severe mental disabilities, that need help to be able to go to a suitable location or make repairs if it's not overly expensive compared to the funds donated to help the least financially blessed around you. It will let them give reliably to someone they trust will do the right thing with the money they want to give to hurricane victims.

Lester they are so stressed you should not have sent that. They will try to call but after watching them yesterday before they knew how bad. They were very stressed. FYI they found out about the house from their Ring Door Bell. Sister Kim and Dan were there checking the roof and the movement set off the motion detector on the camera. I don’t think phones were working. On their channel they have the video.

What's the condition of the barndominium? Maybe you guys can put the Denham's up in their temporarily while the necessary repairs are done, either that or they can stay on vacationing in their RV whilst they supervise the house demolition and repairs needed.

Lester, You may want to research the National Parks per State. California has 9, Alaska has 8, Utah has 5, Colorado has 4, Washington has 3, Florida has 3, Arizona has 3, Hawaii has 2, Montana has 2, Nevada has 2, Wyoming, S. Dakota and Texas has 2 each and of course there are other States with 1 National Park.
