The day after snow slams Seattle and western Washington

Snow is still falling Sunday morning, but it should turn into a rain / snow mix by afternoon.

Could be worse! I spent most of my life in western Washington and last spring decided to move closer to my sister... in Billings MT! Its been negative digits (double digits at times) with 12-15" of snow for 2 weeks. Like western Washington, they don't plow or sand the side streets. Crazy.

Up to 2 additional inches on Sunday... well it's been snowing here pretty much non-stop since at least 8am, so that extra 2" may have already come and gone! I worry for people in flat-roofed buildings, not designed for this kind of weather.

@@steveg6978 Government policies have reduced L.A. air pollution significantly in the last 40 years. The freeways are crowded and there are some parts of the city with high crime rates. It also gets up to 115° F in the summer. I made my fortune here in the film industry and no longer have to work but I stay because I'm still taken by the idea of "tinseltown." My house is worth nearly a million dollars now (bought for $225,000 in 1998) but I'm thinking of selling and buying a bigger house somewhere else and enjoying my wealth while I can. I loved my youth in the Northwest, but I've gotten used to warm weather.
