Its sad to see a platform so accessible to many be relegated to the sole purpose of cash grabs and games with no soul We could've had what would've essentially been flash games you can play anywhere but you have to search through so much dirt to find anything worth your time and its depressing seeing what a majority of "games" on there are

I remember seeing a classmate of mine playing this game once and getting so jealous that the iphone had such a badass game while android had nothing like it. I guess jokes on him since now the iphone doesn't have it anymore. Anyway, its a window to how mobile games could have been so much more than the hyper-casual microtransaction infested garbage we have now. It's sad.

I remember back when totalbiscuit made a video on infinity blade. The graphics blew my mind, I never thought such a thing could exist on mobile. It really is a shame that you can't (legally) get it anymore, infinity blade pushed the boundaries of what a mobile game could be.

This series will forever hold a special place in my heart. It started my love for novels thanks to the book in between games introducing me to the author Brandon Sanderson. It was the first game I ever heard Troy Baker’s, Alistair Duncan’s and Laura Bailey’s voices. I remember burning time trying to fight the harder voices. I am thankful to this series for the memories and hope it returns to the app store. Future generations deserve to be able to play these masterpieces.

I've never played this but this is probably among the like 5 mobile games in the entirety of that "Platforms" history where you feel like you aren't wasting money, patience or time.

brooooo tysm you unlocked an ancient childhood memory for meee... I remember when I was 10, I had this friend in the homeschool co-op I attended. He made up his own board games like I did, and was 16, so I hung out with him sometimes (mostly cause I was heavily ostracized and sometimes bullied, so I had no-one else). And he once played this game on his...it was like that iPad PC that Microsoft came out with, forgot the name. But I thought it was literally the coolest thing ever to exist, and it made me shit my pants with astonishment lol

I believe that, at least as far as U.S. law, because you cannot get the game anywhere legally, especially since you can't really even get a used copy, it is considered abandon-ware and thus completely legal to pirate.

I am entirely on your side in ethics, but law wise you are completely wrong. Epic as copyright holder has all rights to the game. You don't lose these rights even if you stop selling the products.

I remember that at some point there were a bunch of games with this fighting style on iOS and then they just disappeared. 1. Infinity Blade - the first game with this style I guess 2. A game in a sort of apocalypse, where you fight mutants and zombies. All the armor and weapons were a bit in a mad max style. At the end of each chapter you had a big boss fight. It was a pretty fun game too. 3. There was one where you were playing as a gladiator. I don't remember much about it, but I know the fighting style was exactly the same. 4. A game where you were fighting dragons with magic. Somehow the fighting style was the same as Infinity Blade, you would dodge the hits (or you could parry them) then you would shoot magic attacks at the dragons. The best part about this was the enemy dragons themselves as I remember they were quite unique and looked pretty cool. It is a shame how all these games seem to have disappeared. If anyone knows the names of the games that I listed or if you know any games that still work with this fighting style let me know.

Did you know that if you die in the tutorial fight (let the big dude hit you one million times) you unlock a negative bloodline and get some pretty nice gear. Also, the store changes to have more unique equipment (which price inflation goes through the roof) and all enemies get a huge buff (as if you were playing on Bloodline 20-30, IIRC?)

Infinity Blade 1 & 2 were goated, 3 was pretty good as well. I think they should be remade into VR games. Such an easy win from my perspective, I would play the hell out of that

Just found your channel and your content is incredibly nostalgic. Keep up what you’re doing, I’ve always thought flash games deserve more attention on KZbin given how popular they were. Please please please do: Epic War Series Epic Battle Fantasy Super fighters Pokémon Tower defense Maybe a vid on the “hacked” versions flash games that had entire dedicated websites for hacked editions of flash games

Shame to see nobody here talking about death dome, which was inspired (some may even say it was blatantly ripped) off of this game. I sunk so many hours into that game as a kid, but never managed to beat it, and now I never will.

KZbin deleted my first attempt at this comment, so here's the tldr There's gems out there, here's a couple so we aren't just dooming and glooming about mobile gaming going bad. Yiotro's games, Shattered Pixel Dungeon, Rhythm games (specifically rayarks games)
@gamemaniac2013
@gamemaniac2013 2 ай бұрын
Here's the original comment, because it goes more indepth on the games. People are lamenting the death of mobile gaming and I get it. So instead of preaching to the choir I'm just going to offer a little bit of hope instead. If you know where to look, you can find some real gems. I'll put down what I can think of off the top of my head. There's a dev called Yiotro with a whole slew of games. They span a lot of gameplay styles (usually a more casual take on an established idea, but there's some unique ones as well), so you're likely to find something you like. I love the abstract and minimalist art direction the games use, it's a very clean look. Shattered Pixel Dungeon is a dungeon crawler roguelike. Very much taking after more classic entries, with NO metaprogression beyond the players own knowledge of the mechanics and how to use them. Still actively developed, and has a steam port. Rhythm games are probably in a good state, though I've been out of the game for a LONG time. I still have a soft spot in my heart for Deemo and Cytus. Rayark's other games are probably pretty good.

Did you ever read the books? They fill the gaps in between games 1/2 and 2/3. The series is more of a five part story. Three games and two books. Btw I am one of the few who have played all three Infinity Blade games. The second and third ones build on the first one and only become more amazing.

Hmm, not actually a game I recall enjoying all too much. Watching this video, maybe younger-me never figured out exp required changing equipment? I certainly don't remember that aspect, haha My favorite mobile games were probably Heroes and Castles (a wave defense game where you could run around the map, not just defend from behind the wall), or Solomon's Boneyard (what's nowadays called a survivorslike game)

🤷 I don't know what side loading is either lol
@darkprinc979
@darkprinc979 Ай бұрын
Side loading is when you put apps on your device that are not available in the normal app store. As an example, I have an Amazon Fire tablet which only comes with Amazon's app store, but I put Google Play on there so I can access anything that would go on an Android device. To do this I had to enable the tablet's developer options.
