The Day My Dad Surprised Me: On This Special Day, My Dad Pulled Off What Was Nearly Impossible

I always told myself that if I ever married someone whose parents had passed away, I wanted to make sure to honor them in a special way at our wedding. When Josh and I got engaged, I made it my mission to surprise him with the most special video commemorating his dad.
As I was caught up in every detail of that elaborate project, little did I know my own dad, Marcus Lamb had his own trick up his sleeve to accomplish what no one has been able to do in my adult life…
It was the day of my wedding and as dad was giving me away with the longest defense I’ve ever heard, he queues the biggest surprise I’ve ever received with a video that became one of the highlights of the day, moving everyone to tears.
Hearing his words over my life and future is a gift I will carry in my heart forever and helps me remember the special bond we had. See the surprise message from my dad that 2 years after his passing I cherish now more than ever.

Oh my goodness! I miss your Daddy so much! My mom was just diagnosed with stage four cancer the first week in October and just a couple weeks ago in the middle of all that, she had a stroke. She’s a wonderful woman of God and taught us all about Jesus. There are many people praying for her. This absolutely brought tears to my eyes remembering how tender your Dad’s heart was. What a wonderful warrior of God he was.

I’ve been asking the Father to help me understand His love. I just can’t comprehend a Fathers love and then I stumbled across this video and WOW. What an answer to prayer. The love, honour, respect and absolute father’s heart Marcus had for his daughter, wow! How precious to have had a father like Marcus. He would be sad to see Jonathan leave Daystar. His mantle was meant for him.
