I did years ago (2010?) in Coeur d’Alene Idaho. I was there on business and it happened to be on a day when he was teaching. I attended and he was very kind and engaging. I actually was the person in attendance who had traveled the furthest (Texas) so they gave me a gift which was some teaching material. I have always loved his teaching and the man was brilliant!

Missler makes the statement that “the sons of God” in Genesis refers to angels of heaven (fallen angels, I assume). Am I correct? If angels, how could this idea be reconciled with Jesus’ statement: “In heaven they are neither male nor female”? Please help with my weak understanding. Thank you.

Yes, you’re correct that the ‘Son’s of God’ are the fallen angels. The term “sons of God” is a general term which means “to be brought into existence by God's creative act.” Because the term carries this meaning, it is used very selectively. Throughout the Old Testament the term “sons of God” is always used of angels. Jesus's statement that angels are neither male nor female in heaven does not imply that angels have a gender: Jesus's statement in Matthew 22:30, Jesus says that angels do not marry in heaven because people will be "like the angels in heaven". ". This statement does not comment on the gender of angels. God is a spirit and does not have a gender, just like angels. Scripture refers to angels using masculine terminology because they are spirit beings. For example, the Bible refers to Michael as "God's messenger" and the "Prince of His chosen people". Remember that God transcends gender, because God is Spirit and has no form, male or female. Jesus' maleness is not what reflects God's essence. Masculine biblical language for God refers to grammatical, not natural, gender. God is the source of everything, including gender. Another thing that came to my mind: The Son’s of God aka Fallen Angels, are demons & they cannot dwell in heaven. I hope that helps my friend. God bless!

@tigerprayers2824 When exactly God created angels is open for debate, but what is known for sure is that God created everything good because God, in His holiness, cannot create something sinful. So when Satan, who was once the angel Lucifer, rebelled against God and fell from heaven (Isaiah 14; Ezekiel 28), one third of the angelic host joined his insurrection (Revelation 12:3-4,9). There is no doubt these fallen angels are now known as the demons. We know that hell was prepared for the devil and his angels, according to Matthew 25:41: “Then He will say to those on His left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.’” Jesus, by using the possessive word his makes it clear that these angels belong to Satan. Revelation 12:7-9 describes an end-times angelic battle between Michael and "his angels" and the devil and "his angels." From these and similar verses, it is clear that demons and fallen angels are synonymous. Some reject the idea that the demons are the fallen angels due to the fact that Jude verse 6 declares the angels who sinned to be "bound with everlasting chains." However, it is clear that not all of the angels who sinned are "bound," as Satan is still free (1 Peter 5:8). Why would God imprison the rest of the fallen angels, but allow the leader of the rebellion to remain free? It seems that Jude verse 6 is referring to God confining the fallen angels who rebelled in an additional way, likely the "sons of God" incident in Genesis chapter 6. The most common alternate explanation for the origin of the demons is that when the Nephilim of Genesis 6 were destroyed in the Flood, their disembodied souls became the demons. While the Bible does not specifically say what happened to the souls of the Nephilim when they were killed, it is unlikely that God would destroy the Nephilim in the Flood only to allow their souls to cause even greater evil as the demons. In regard to Jesus' statement that in heaven, we and the angels, are "neither male or female": We presume that we will be spirit, without physical bodies. This might be true and yet, the children of Israel ate angels food in the desert. We hope to attend the marriage supper of the Lamb (of God). Here's another thought; do immortals breed and reproduce? ...or is this an attribute of mortals alone? Were Adam and Eve immortal before they sinned in the Garden, and perceived themselves to be naked? (lost their oiketerion?) Perhaps God told them to be fruitful and multiply so mankind would not die before the plan of salvation could unfold. Immortal, holy angels have no reason to reproduce...

Going by the comments it is about fallen angels mating with humans. The other view is that the daughters of nonbelievers mated with sons of Seth or vice versa producing a fallen race. Jesus said that in heaven we will be like the angels who do not marry or are given in marriage. It says that in the days of Noah there would be things happening which are every day events. Then the end will come.

It was not the first time Chuck Missler taught something wrong. Where it says men began to 'profane' the name of the Lord? Another time was in the book of revelation, when he said Jesus was the rider on the white horse. Aside from these mistakes, I am not aware of others. Still, he had taught well, and I did learn a lot from him.

@@lwacc There are two white horses & Chuck knew which one Jesus will be riding, not the first one, but the fifth one, that’s for sure. And the context in which Chuck used the word ‘proclaim’ (not profane though it’s possible he used the wrong word accidentally however I never heard him say profane) is another way of saying they began to call upon the name of the Lord again. He knew what he was saying, as do most of those that listen to him. So, no ‘mistakes’ were made on his part, however, some that listen to him make the mistake of accusing him of wrongdoing because they don’t listen to the context in which the message was delivered. An equally admissible translation is noted in the margin of the King James: “Or, to call themselves by the name of the LORD;” that is, that it was they who were the self-existent and eternal. The interpretation that the pious descendants of Seth formed themselves into a distinct society which they called after the name of the LORD has no agreement in any of the preserved remains of antiquity. We find no allusion to this society, by this or any other name, in any of the subsequent writings of Moses or elsewhere. There is, however, another understanding of the text which some of the best scholars contend is not only allowable, but required by the original words. The word rendered “began” is Strong’s H2490, “to begin to profane,” marking the generation in which proud and wicked men started applying to themselves, and to each other, the names, titles, and attributes of Deity. Thus, … then men profanely began to call themselves by the name of YHVH.

Bible discusses man as becoming Son's-of-God in the future. Example, 'Don't you know you will judge Angels?' [1Cor6]. This is but one example proving humans graduating to heaven gain station and also shows there are at least two distinct and separate species in heaven, 1) Son's-of-God, 2) Angels. New Testament combines the two, calling all heavenly beings, "Angels." The two species have very different capabilities and motivations. Since those heavenly-beings humans encounter on earth are most often enemies of mankind, it pays to know the difference between Son's-of-God and Angels. Missler's come a long way and is otherwise spot-on in this vid (whenever it was recorded).

I remember he said that Angel's could not have children. That's why I was confused. He said that God did not create them to reproduce. In heaven angels cannot procreate but the fallen angels had left their first estate as we read in Jude 1:6 ~ And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation.. so they were here on earth when they took the daughters of men. Hope that helps.

@astelbele One possible explanation is this: Those who interpret the "sons of God" as non-human spiritual beings or fallen angels often suggest that these beings somehow took on physical form or assumed human-like bodies in order to interact with humans. This interpretation is based on the belief that angels have the ability to manifest in different forms or appearances. We can only draw our own conclusions on the matter, all will be revealed one day I’m sure. Sometimes, the Bible is simply silent on these matters. God bless you.

The only sin is blasphemy of the spirit for which the consequences will not change: you will manifest sin as typically understood. The only way to avoid sin (obedience) is to not blaspheme the spirit. Blaspheming the spirit is walking in the darkness aka avoiding the light that is the glory of the incorruptible God. The fig leaf is the problem, not the apple.

Meaning that both before & after the flood the giants existed due to the sons of God (fallen angels) taking the daughters of men & procreating with them. The giants aka Nephilim are the result of this. That’s what the word says.

It stands to reason that as languages evolve and meanings of words change or become obsolete that an evaluation of the root meaning in the Hebrew or Greek is a smart thing to do to provide clarity. The Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek Texts will always remain unchanged, and I don't see Chuck "correcting" any of those...they don't need revision or correction. The intended and original message of the Bible needs no correction. The translation into our evolving language sometimes does need revision. Correction is the wrong word, as it implies mistakes in the original texts.

Rocco, Sounds like you don't know what the Bible is. Ever read it all?? The Bible is God's book of " Alien" intervention w humanity. Aliens from other dimensions & totally different realities than our very limited understanding. Bible just calls em Angels & demons & that coveres many other kinds of created lifeforms. Ones that can jump from their dimensions into ours like going through a door. Far more advanced than man will ever get before we destroy ourselves due to their influence on us. They hate our guts because WE still have a free will. They lost theirs when they ( demons) rebelled against their creator.
