Being hit by mechanics on the first boss can apply a necrosis debuff that causes instant death at the end of its duration unless cleansed with Esuna. Meanwhile, the butterflies on the third boss apply a Doom debuff that can’t be cleansed with Esuna; Doom is only dispelled by healing to 100% health.

Lmao! i learnt about this first hand just now, came on here to find out wtf happened. Basically was on Sage fighting first boss, a boss i've fought many times b4, everything was going smooth, few people getting hit here and there, no biggie i just top them up, all of a sudden randomly, the tank and 1 dps are instantly dead. Boss aggro then turns to me and one shots me with the tankbuster, i honestly could have dumped all my shield cds and survived, but i was too confused, standing there like a dumfounded deer in the headlights coz i couldn't understand how the fuck my tank just died. It was the funniest thing and i couldn't stop laughing, at first i thought maybe the tank was trolling me with superbolide and turning off the invuln, but that didn't explain the dps death. The worst thing was, i was playing with JP players so i couldn't even ask them how what happened and they died hahaha

I had a hard time figuring out what direction the butterflies were facing, if you look at the ground, there's a little red arrow, that'll tell you where they're facing.

On the butterfly mechanic in the last boss- people who get hit by those lasers get a Doom. They need to be healed to full fairly quickly, or they will die. This can be tough to do with the stack marker being right afterwards!

Yeah, also people need to know that while the first time he summons the butterflies he jumps out after, after that he’ll do his wing attack on one side while the butterflies attack, meaning you might need to not only switch sides to avoid the wing, but move up or down a set of butterflies to avoid them at the same time.

Great guide, but you should warn healers about the Doom debuff players get if they fail certain mechanics. I went in the first time and never saw the doom debuff. I did an expert roulette one time and took me a few wipes to understand what was happening. If people are able to dodge everything then it's never an issue.

For the healers out there, debuffs appear first in the list and have a white line above them!

The stack mechanic on both the 1st and last boss isn't always on the healer. It can target the DPS too even if everyone is still alive.

Should also mention for No Future in the 2nd boss fight there's one side that has no safe spot to run to. I notice this during the 2nd No Future but not in the 1st or 3rd if you get to a 3rd. Which side it is that has no safe spot I haven't figured out atm cause I haven't been watching what way the boss is facing or if that has something to do with it.

On the last boss Ra-La, when it does the butterfly attack the second time, it combines that attack with Loving Embrace where it hits a whole side of the room. It's not THAT dangerous or tricky because both attacks don't go off at the same time. If you're on the wrong side after the butterflies attack goes off, you can just move to the correct side, there's enough time between attacks to move if you're close to the butterflies. If you're at the edge of the arena, that's a different story, but I don't know why you'd be there during this attack.

The only truly deadly part of Ra-La is when it does butterflies + loving embrace (wing glow slash) at the same time, this can get rough, other than that most of its mechanics are actually pretty easy to dodge. You have to look at the butterflies to position but also look at the wing to be on the correct side at the same time.

My 3rd-4th time in here after trust, and it's my first run healing. First boss only wipe, butrealized had overlooked MTQ's vid on this dungeon so far. Finally now understand the wind mechanic , brain just would not process that it was 'pushing' those 'unfairly' quick ground aoes. Was even looking for a debuff on my tank when it got them, so extra rough. Good to know from comments how to handle that and last boss' butterflies now. :)

@@PandaliasKay This was an exceptionally movement mechanic heavy dungeon that also proved difficult to me at the start. Appropriate based on it's story presence and themes to have that difficulty, but also a shock to my casual brain. Also, like the auto doom effect on the first boss that's only mentioned in comments, there's a lot that can go wrong very quickly. On the plus side 'usually' parties just bounce back silently and try again, or kind-fully point out a solution. Once in a while though... Oh, and best of luck healing going forward. I may be BLM forever, but I've got all healers to max and that has helped my mechanic awareness a lot.

About 11 months too late but the Miasmata mechanic is very vaguely explained, it's not find safe spots or do stuff accordingly, it's move in the direction against the wind and everyone just had to pile up then you'll only need to move left or right and not have to mess with any of the middle of the field aoe's that only happen in the other half of the field. If the tank is knowledgeable enough or if you tank you can drag them to the edge where there will be a gap and you won't ever have to worry about the wind blowing the gas at all.

It doesn't show up in the Expert Roulette, it shows up in the Level 90 Dungeons Roulette. Lapis Manalis & The Aetherfront are the only dungeons in Expert Roulette.

on 3rd boss PeaceKeeper it helps if the Healer don't stand between the two Dps's thinking there going save ppls cause that actually going to cause death to the Dps, instead. I as a smn main On him you want to stand at 4 positions Tank at front Heal at either Left or Right of boss done matter and one dps at the back Usual a melee or cast at back of boss that that mostly for melee spot cause of the ground Aoes going off ever few seconds. its makes dps life easier and you're not actual causing us to stack on the aoe circle marks when it come up. I wouldn't be saying this if it really didn't make your dps happy it dose we'd love you for it.

Multiple people are instantly dying almost simultaneously. I realize as the healer I can remove it. But I have a cd. When 2 + people get this and no one really understands this hits a little harder than every other dungeon they've done. What do I do? I can do it with Trust... but PUGS are aids at this moment. Things like ED and tetra can top people off very quickly. If you still have ogcds up, don't be afraid to use them. If not, spam a few gcds and pray it's enough. Don't neglect the bonus healing you get from some ogcds either. If you have time and notice someone in the wrong spot, you can also regen/shield them before they get hit to make your life a little easier afterward.
