In a perfect Dbd world without ping and server issues I think this new DH would be incredibly powerful. As it is, I think a lot of people won’t be able to get the perfect timing through no fault of their own.

One thing is adapting to the latency of your TV/monitor and controller/M&K (fixed value), and one entirely different to the killer's, or your own, lag (not fixed value). Most of the time, a 1 second window would not be enough for you to get it right. Old DH was definitely more broken; invincibility on top of distance is just too much for one perk. Now, at least they have to mend even if they get it right.

It takes more skill to get the distance with this one, while the other one could freely get you to a window or pallet safely, but it's still funny how they nerfed it by giving it more distance. Although it's kind of just like Sprint Burst but with timing now.

Someone who had all perks unlocked on P3 got bumped up to P11, so I assume that means someone with every perk unlocked but no prestige gets bumped up to P8.

Definitely not. It’s super weak now. Regardless of what anyone says, only time it’ll be good is those times when the pallet stun is 50/50 due to the killers ping, you can DH when you’re at the pallet to reduce that 50/50 risk, but that’s it.

Absolutely not you could wait out the old dh while playing killer so I don’t know why they had to change that + this dh is pretty good but there’s no dash so it actually sucks as well cuz you gotta mend after taking a hit

I still think its a buff, you can use it pretty much the same, and the distance it gives is MUCH better than old dead hard, AND you can use it before a pallet or window, and take the hit AND get a speed boost. This is gonna be awful to go against.

If the killer has 2 brain cells and just waits it out it’s useless. It’s the same except now it doesn’t give distance so if tug just wait it out the survivor is screwed.

Issue with adrenaline is it will only remove the deep wounds from taking a hit with DH and the reverse cannot happen since you'll be exhausted from adrenaline.

i think it'll be more frusturating to go against this DH if you actually manage to pull it off, but most likely experienced killers won't ever fall for it it might have been in the video and i might've missed it, but can you use DH and immediately go into a window vault? Can you just save a hit on a vault that would've been a hit otherwise?

Seems like a buff in the right hands which still gives you distance. He dead harded at 3:05 before the spirit started swing animation, then the spirits swing started at 3:06, but his dead hard was activated already which gives him a free hit to tank. And you can still replenish it while in chase? Imagine 4 injured survivors as the same character running dh with perks that help speed up exhaustion timer. RIP to the killer having to go against that!

I love the new dead hard. Honestly, I think it is better because you get a lot more distance and you can still kind of "dead hard for distance," for example you can dead hard to a pallet and the the killer cant swing or else you save the pallet, and you get even more distance. Also, I always wanted a perk that gives you a third hit and you don't need to do anything to activate the perk, this is what I always wanted in dead by daylight. Another thing is you can take hits for people, it is very op in my opinion.

Honestly this isn’t a nerf, yeah you have to mend now which will make getting it back during a chase extra hard, but it’s now it’s basically the new off the record but permanently, as it will still guaranteed you pallets and vaults if used right, downing someone going for the gate with this perk is going to be impossible.
