No to all of those. Who wants to have to worry about the living and their problems when you are dead? That would be hell, not a place of peace.

Explain how Dorcas - Tabitha whom Peter raised from death- were was she in her death? Did Peter bring her down from her Heavenly country back to earth??

Acts 9 doesn't give details about where her soul was after death, but the New Testament speaks about Hades, which is the realm of the dead. Jesus pulled back the curtain on Hades in Luke 16, telling us about the rich man and Lazarus. Both men died (thus entering the Hadean realm), but their experience was very different. The rich man was "in torments in Hades" (Luke 16:23) while Lazarus was in "Abraham's bosom" being comforted (Luke 16:22, 25). While on the cross, Jesus spoke to one of the thieves who was with Him saying, "Today you will be with Me in Paradise" (Luke 23:43; aka "Abraham's bosom," Luke 16). When Jesus died, He went to Hades (Acts 2:23-32), but the text says "His soul was not left in Hades" for "This Jesus God has raised up." While He was dead, He was in Paradise in Hades, but when He was resurrected, His soul departed from Hades and returned to His body. In like manner, when Tabitha (Dorcus) died, being described as a faithful servant of God in the text, I would assume she was in Paradise in Hades. When Peter, by the Spirit, raised her from the dead, her soul came forth from Hades, entering her body again, and thus she was alive in this physical world once more. The same would be true of Jesus' friend Lazarus in John 11 or any other who was raised from the dead.

You can quote and try to explain all you want but there isn't one single scripture in the bible were you can prove the so called immortality of the soul . Those two words together are no where in the bible. This is the main problem , anybody who teaches that inside human beings exist another version of man , immaterial invisible and conscious that is exempt from death which is the last enemy that will be destroyed according to Jesus own words. Teaching the immortality of the soul is another way to IGNORE the purpose of the resurrection of the dead which is not even preach by those who believe this lie. If what dies is the body , who cares about the resurrection of the dead if you are an immortal being. But Genesis 3. 22 creates a problem for those who think that while dead ,they continue living outside their body. Life after death occurs at the resurrection. Man had an opportunity at the garden of Eden to live forever but the minute they enter in disobedience and sin God told them clearly that they will return to DUST and immediately as in says in Gen. 3.22 God made sure they they will not put out their hand and also take from the Tree of LIFE and live FOREVER. That is very clear ...NO sinners living forever. There is about 957 times the word soul appears in the scripture NOT one single time is the word soul attached to the word immortality.

To clarify, am I correct to understand that your contention is that the soul is not distinct from the body?

...In Ecl 12.7 says, then the dust will return to the earth as lt was , and the spirit to God who gave it. This is in total harmony with the words in Gen 3.19 where God tells Adam that.....in the sweat of your face you will eat bread till you RETURN to the ground , for out of it YOU were taken , for DUST you are and to dust you shall return. Notice that the first scripture mentions what happens to the spirit and the body of dust, at death and in the second scripture God established what man is when he says for DUST you are and tells Adam where he is going , he returns to the dust. Traditional Christianity teach that man is a Tripartite being if that were true , why is the word soul is not included in neither one of this scriptures indicating where does the soul go at death Now if we believe what God revealed about how he created man in Gen 2.7 then we will be able to understand what is the soul and come to the right conclusion . The Lord formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life ..... .In this first part of the scripture we have a body of dust formed that God calls MAN , but this man is not yet alive until he breathed in his nostrils the breath of life or Gods spirit of life , this is how man BECAME a LIVING creature , a living being or a living SOUL. This is the same method of creation that he describes in Gen 1.21 when he created the animal kingdom who have the breath of life a body of dust and were called SOULS before man . When they die they die exactly like man . Ecl.3.19.20 A soul is a LIVING creature or BEING .made of dust who is made alive by the breath of life in his nostrils that comes from God who is the source of life. The body without the spirit is dead Jam 2.26 and the SOUL that sinneth it shall DIE Ez. 18.20....souls die when the breath is exhaled from the body The Soul , the LIVING creature the living being that is a combination of two things BREATH and DUST these 2 words is what identifies what God used to create what he says is a LIVING SOUL a living being or creature. Once the breath of life goes back to God be MAN IS A DEAD SOUL and no longer a living soul . The body of dust that no longer has what makes it alive returns to the dust . The BODY or SPIRIT by itself do not operate independent of each other . You are no longer a SOUL if the breath is gone you ceased to exist because this is the PENALTY of sin loosing your life . This exactly why God established that it is appointed to man once to DIE and after JUDGEMENT Hb9.27 Nobody will receive rewards or punishment while in the state of DEATH, since they do not exist .God is not the God of the DEAD but of the living . God will judge LIVING SOULS living humans not DEAD humans beings . DEATH is the last enemy that will be destroyed according to Jesus . . He is not going to judge separate parts of man but the human being in is entirety and not in the state of death. Isa 38.16.18 Death cannot praise you This is why to be JUDGE , PUNISH , or REWARDED he will RESURRECT the dead by returning the breath of life to the body of dust and they will come out of the GRAVE Jn.5.28 The same process of creation in reverse. Sorry to bore you with all these details but some answers sometimes requires a lot of biblical explanation that is necessary in order to prove all things . I cannot say that the soul is distinct from the body because having study the 854 times that the word appear in the scriptures I know for a fact is not a part of man or a component that constitutes a separate part of man apart from the body . The word is a description of the whole creation package, body and breath or spirit . It seems perfect to use a single word to omit 2 words in order to facilitate going into details . A living being or living soul representing a breathing creature made of dust, a life , a person a human , loving God with all your soul all your being . God did not put a soul in a body as a part of man because that is not what it says. But I am well aware that the word is used to describe life and many other descriptions that are appropriate in harmony with his nature. Never and IMMORTAL SOUL

@kgnprchr I believe that when traced back to its original meaning, the word soul is translated to mean a living being. So a physical body with a spirit or "breath" is a soul, or a living being. The idea that the body has a soul distinct from the body that lives on forever I believe has its roots from Plato and greek philosophy. But it is odd that majority of the church today has adapted that idea and incorporated it into today's christianity with heaven and hell. The reason I say it's odd is because it forsakes what Jesus taught about the resurrection of the dead, the second death, etc. The origins are within the translations and etymologies.
