Make music, not war! I’ve been living in Houston for 3 years, but I have loved Houston Rap for as long as I have loved rap music. All I know is when I was growing up, I didn’t know what part of the H that a particular artist came from, I just liked it. And I can’t tell folks here how to feel, but just know that DJ Screw is worldwide. Djs trying to emulate the sound of Screw was inevitable, so I can see how someone like Watts would be an early adopter of Screw’s style. And I don’t know if Watts ever claimed it to be his style, or something that he created. Just the perspective of a St Louis guy, who grew up on ALL the Southern Hip Hop of the 90’s/2000’s.

I can't speak for all of the Northside or Southside of Houston. But I know we (on the Northside) would jam Screw. Out loud, windows down and no other Northside fool said s***. Cause chances are they were jamming Screw too. Now when Swisha House came about I'm sure there was someone on the Southside listening to them. In a city of 2.something million, trust me, someone was listening. Paul Wall is full of crap. Trying to make a bigger thing out of nothing. As for the car jackings go, that's just smart thieving.
