Because they're a band from a small label and no one paid money for this video to be put in everyone's face. The Dear Hunter is extremely popular if you compare the success of the band Casey was in previously, The Receiving End Of Sirens.

+Austin Buccowich for me it's the opposite. I love that effect! it's probably because I heard this version before the album version...both are great, but there is something special about this set.

Does this version sound all screwed up to anyone else? Don't get me wrong, this is an amazing song, but the other vocalists and the bass sound as messed up.

+Brendon Williams it's just a live rendition of the song. there is an effect on vocals(since on the album, it is sang by female vocalists) - they're just switching it up a bit, not sure i agree it sounds "messed up".
