I enjoyed this game. Great music, decent graphics, and neat storyline. Only real complaint is the repetition of enemies used. Some levels only feature one or two types at most, disguised as palette swaps.

@@kramalerav 🤣😂🤣 No the hell it wasn't, the music in the genesis version sounded awful as hell. And some of the songs were on repeat like they were replaying the same track over and over. Sega Genesis did have some songs that were better than the SNES but not this game. Double Dragons and Battletoads was better music wise on the Genesis than the SNES. Maximum Carnage had better music on the genesis than the SNES version.

Uhh...this is...kind of a masterpiece of a game. When you stop and think about it. Imagine a 4-6 player version of this very game. You basically end up with a way more playable and thusly, IMHO, fully realized rendition of the Konami 90's arcade X-MEN game.

We need this game remastered and with DLC the other supermen can have their own storylines as well I beat this game but on an old TV where if you did a super move or if the game does a lot of flashes it would glitch then go back to normal what a crazy way to beat a game that has to be some kind of record they should give us the other supermen as DLC fighters in the next injustice game and give us chapters as well evil Superman going up agenst other versions of himself would be a cool DLC for the story

It is a pretty good game, my only complain is that you can't attack multiple enemies at the same time like you can on other beat em up, instead you can only attack them one at a time, so that is very problematic and makes this game tough AND MY GOD THAT ROBOT ENEMY THAT PULLED YOU OVER AND UPPERCUT YOU💀

The Superman arcade game is still probably the best one, especially 2 player as you get to play as a funky red colored Supes. That and the sweet tinny version of the movie theme. This game was a rental for me back then, but man, it was SO friggin' repetitive. I'd say if it was half as long as it is, it would have been a much better game. As is, I just got sick of it and never finished it. I did appreciate it having some obscure DC characters, though, like Rambeau and Clawster.

This is a tough game. But it's a pretty good game. What I find interesting is that so many haters say, "Superman is overpowered. He can just do anything. It's an easy win. The game would be over in 2 seconds." However, this game debunks those hater claims because Superman struggles to win in this entire game. The level of difficulty is high. If Superman was overpowered (as the haters claim), then playing as Superman should be an easy win. But in fact, there is no easy winning in this game.

This fucking game. I think I made it to Level 7 or 8 and I could just not get past it. And it's not even that the bosses are that hard, it's just the level enemies that gang up on you with cheap sucker punches and guns. I'm going to beat this one day, though, dammit! For many years now, the real reason everyone thinks that all the Superman video-games suck is because none of them "capture the spirit of the character". Now, I'm not a programmer, but to tell you the truth, a game that captured the spirit of Superman would be really boring as hell. Here's what a real Superman game would be like: You fly around beating up everyone and not taking any damage, then Lex Luthor shows up with a load of Green Kryptonite, and you automatically lose. The End. Does that sound like a fun game? No, it doesn't. I understand that people think a game where you get to be the real Superman would be fun, but it's not possible. A video-game needs to have difficulty, and you need to be able to lose. Of course, if you *REALLY* want to feel like Superman, then get a Game Genie, Action Replay, or Game Shark, put in an invincibility code, and presto, you're the invincible, *REAL* Superman, and all the fun and challenge is gone.

There are games where you can play as the "real" superman. Like Superman Returns, where you're invincible, but have to protect the city instead (since it has a health bar), or the Lego Batman games.

He's bulletproof, 99% of the residents of Metropolis are not. Or alternatively just face him off against Parasite/Kryptonite Man/Amazo/Hank Henshaw/Metallo/Mongol/Darksied where his health bar is a legitimate thing.
