I don't think the demand for Funky ever really died, it was really a supply issue like he mentioned, I think that's the difference between when people say Funky is dead and Grime is dead; there's a big supply of good Grime and not enough demand to go around to catch/appreciate it all. How Circle, Polo and Black were popping when they dropped proves that people are still here for that Funkyish sound. Also, them muted skanks were bare jokes 🤣

The Steelo track 4:58 isn't a 'Funky House' track. It's a 'Broken Beat' Remix, that crossed over due to DJ's like Sy Sez and Barnes & bro Kurt. The Apple track after that 5:10 sampled another 'Broken Beat' track

UK Funky House was the last Dance music scene we've had in London and other parts of England. The rest of the country was on Bassline (T2, H Two O etc) while London was going heavy on Funky House. This is why Raving in England doesn't exist anymore.

Definitely not intentional, but Chuckie definitely made some general faux pas for the camera that came across as unprofessional- staring at the screen, not talking into the mic and the music interruptions. Sometimes the vibesing with the mandem atmosphere doesn't make for good entertainment when you're interviewing a legendary guest that we don't often get to hear speak. Still a great show and appreciate all the efforts

I really don’t think funky house died out because their was a lack of producers or artists.. it was just not part of the Uk scene anymore.. everyone had moved on to other sounds, in my opinion it was the reinvention of grime and its merge with hip hop. Also the genre from SA that is popular now is Amapiano but is a sub genre from House. It is NOT house.
