So fascinating. I've been intrigued by Karyn's story for years and have read bits and pieces and quotes from this documentary but this is the first time I've seen the actual show. 60 years gone, may she rest in peace.

The two men who were in her apartment the last night of her life who were the last ones to see her alive, should have been questioned. It says the two left when she fell asleep. Did they leave the apartment door ajar when they left and as a result someone came in and did her in?

She sounds lovely, but seemed pretty unbalanced and a bit mentally ill. Obsessed with her ex, eating disorder, prescription pills. I think it’s possible she died accidentally by her own hand. She clearly was very insecure and didn’t seem to love herself. So sad.

I wonder if Karyn's Kupcinet's niece did any future projects about her aunt--like a book or documentary. I cannot find anything online. I think Karyn was probably raped and strangled by some guy obsessed with her or weird neighbor who randomly opened people's doors and looked around (I believe that this was the suspect that the parents had in mind). I do not think that her death was Kennedy related.

Boyfriend Andrew Prine died in Paris on Halloween of 2022. He had been married five times. His first wife was Sharon Farrell whom he married on March 24, 1962 and divorced on April 9, 1963.

Looks to me like she had BPD, also she probably wrote the frightening letters herself. And I don't believe she's been murdered. Edit: She did write the letters. I wrote my comment before the show ended lol

Yes, Joan and the Kupcinet family were good friends. Karyn's apartment was only a block and a half from Joan's own apartment on Fountain Avenue.

After watching this, I would highly doubt the ex had anything to do with it. Likely someone in her apartment building or nearby watching her comings and goings. I do find the death notes she wrote as unhinged though. Her poor family has wrestled with her senseless loss for so long; I wish they could get some closure about the actual circumstances of her death.

Wow I never knew about Karen. how tragic She was so beautiful. I winder where her insecurity came from . sound like she was criticized as a child. Perhaps, her father was never home and her Mother was a perfectionist. She had 2 parents, wealth looks talent and was well known in her town She got to perform and build up confidence. so my bet is the Mom told her she was getting a bit chubby. or someone involved with the local plays mentioned her curves. it's a rough world to be in the limelight
