what it should be in my opnion dying to bosses and players: 75% bellis and lose a bit of bounty dying to players: 75% bellis go to the person that killed u + 1/3 your materials (wood, food, rock etc) and lose alot of bounty sentenced to death: lose all ur bellis and most of your loot, and lose all your bounty dying to the water: 75% ur bellis go to an sea chest underwater, that u and other players can redeem(even yourself) and you lose a bit of bounty getting jailed, u lose only some bounty, ur just jailed (important) there is a bank in the game that u can deposit money and items, these are more acessible to civilians, marines and world government, but pirates can also acess pirate banks, that are on some especific island and places, pirates can also put a chest on the ground (if they have one) and store their items there, and then take it from there with a shovel (but other players can hunt it with their shovel) but sometimes u can just run from fights while being on low health, i made this thing so people give value to death and dont throw themselves on bosses, thats also a way to keep the exploration and the game not being a bandit beater at the same time (the level cap is that u die to enemies, not a real level cap) they could also put a mode system (hardcore and normal mode) but since its a multiplayer game it wouldnt do good

I really didn't understand what you meant by "roleplay", like, if you want to be a civilian in the game you can be, you can not commit any crime and live your life normally fishing, mining and selling (and most importantly, paying taxes on all of this)

If you get captured and you don't manage to escape I don't think there will be a perm death because if that's so the people that aren't used to these kinds of pvp style and new players will quickly start to rage quit not even wanting to use their 3 slots, it might just be like if you don't escape in time they execute you but it isn't perm death, it might be like you die and you respawn somewhere or you lose TONS of bounty and loot, or they don't execute you at all, I am pretty sure if you get executed as a pirate and get perm death, many players will just go with marine to not get perm death and the few remaining pirates will be hunted constantly leading to rage quits, possibly making people to hate the game. but that's just me idk if anyone else thinks the same w vid btw.

So i think if you die from a pirate your bounty is just going to go down. If you get arrested by a marine you just going to jail and if you get killed you just respawn and lose a lot of bounty, they confirmed that already and they also confirmed that you not going to lose anything when you died is just that it will be bad if you died to a marine cause depends on how much you wanted you might get jail for a long time.

I feel like a lot of people enjoy perma-death including me, however even more people dislike it, I feel like It should be a modifier like deepwokens vow of thorns, you get more exp or other things and instead of going to the depths like in deepwoken you lose a life, if you run out of lives your character is wiped, if you want to get a heart back you have to level up or consume a certain item you can only get if you have the modifier.

I hope if you die you will lose some or all your beli or whatever the currency is (preferable all) its a simple well used system, but very fair it can be frustrating to lose all your money but not enough to make you quit. but if you lost your items as well I can see alot of people not playing the game because of it (of course I do believe some items you will lose on death like quest items but nothing to serious) after all this game will most likely have ALOT of youngish players who will die alot. a great example is souls-likes this system works absolutely great in these games tedious and sometimes frustrating, but not nearly on the level as losing your more important and grindy to get items. for a bounty system what im hoping for is that of course you gain money and maybe even boost your own bounty/reputation by hunting someone with a bounty, but I hope rell seas adds there own spin on it that bountys also give items no really good items of course, but I do believe this would make the bounty system more unique with just a simple change, and it would also add further incentive to bounty hunt. example; lets say someone has a low bounty if you kill them you could get a reward maybe a quest item, or a treasure map for a island around that low bounty players level. and for higher bounty players you could gain greater items like a better treasure map, possible a cosmetic item revolving around bounty hunting, or perhaps even a sort of temporary immunity for your crimes where instead of marines attacking you for doing something wrong they will ignore it (of course unless you attack them). and for impel down I hope marine players and maybe marine open world enemies/marine quest enemies can send you to impel down where you need to break out yourself or by your crew/allies/friends coming to save you or a more odd but interesting system where you need to fight a sort of boss/mini boss before you can leave (though I much prefer my first idea for this). (A bit of a yap I know but thought id add my two cent)
