It’s just the right amount of different while still being the same song to seem like an official smash version. The smash versions of songs are never quite exactly the same, so this fits perfectly. Peppino ending up in smash would be him just panicking his way through fighting everyone with a huge speed based build. I imagine him to be kinda a mix between sonic and Little Mac where a lot of his moves are really fast and really heavy but he requires momentum to start carrying through to actually do them. So he needs headstart to actually start going. He should probably get the ability to conserve momentum when turning like in the game so he could run away before spinning around and slamming into his opponent. He should also probably have the ability to bounce off walls and keep his momentum as well. Like i said his entire moveset should probably revolve around a momentum mechanic so him conserving it should be top priority and many of his moves should be geared to keeping it or starting up his momentum quicker in smaller spaces

The use of violins, giving it a more upbeat energy, as well as more orchestral flourishes, does a good job of catching the smash ultimate energy. I appreciate the use of guitar to keep the rock identity at the forefront. Ironically, I feel like Nintendo has a bad habit of taking the identity out of tracks when they remix them these days. For example, infinite Azure vs it's remix. The remix fits the celebration vibe more, sure, but it also lost a lot of it's charm to do so. Another example is Cynthia's champion theme. The DS version of it had a more fierce looming sound to it with it's low tones as it builds tension with increasing beats into booming deep tones. This makes you feel like a powerful beast is coming for you. The remixes using the newer games sound fonts lose a lot of that impact and sounds more washed out.

Usually i see this types of vids and scoff at em, but credit where credit is due, this is basically one of like, two "smash" remixes i've heard that sound like they'd actually be in smash, and not just be a random remix, which good or bad, doesn't sound very smashy. the only thing i can think of that real smash would probably do, is the main melody would come in how it does in the original song, instead of after a full measure, and the intro would probably be shortened even further

i can probably see where you're coming from... I tried to balance the mix without it sounding too loud on other parts of the song, especially the lead guitars. It's also pretty difficult when you're juggling between two different DAWs at once. maybe it's because the synths are pretty quiet...

@@HT3Music I've been listening to both on some actual speakers. You're not wrong, since the supporting melody does eventually get quieter in the original song. Especially during guitar parts in the middle, and by the end you can barely even hear it. I would say 0:20 to 1:00 in the original song and your remix is where you can hear the biggest difference. In the OG the supporting melody is still rather loud, basically side by side with the guitar until around 1 minute into the song. While in your remix it gets pretty quiet once you start the guitar, around 20 seconds in. I'm not gonna nitpick you too much though, since this is really only like 40 seconds of difference. Great sounding remix either way!

​@FrostyGuy oh I think you're talking about the double-time melody... I had to change that since the tempo change is quite different than the original song. the original song had a tempo change of approximately 75.5-180bpm (or around 151-360 bpm without any decimals). I had to make sure that the tempos are closer to the original; but because MuseScore couldn't support decimal tempos (or linear tempo changes for the record), I went with a workaround and stuck with 151-180bpm for a shorter duration. This could also ensure that an actual orchestra can play the song without fumbling too much, or sounding a little weird considering how Muse Sounds is still quite limited in terms of functionality; so I changed a few things in the song, including the decision to make the slower melody as the main focus of the first part rather than the double-time heard in the original. Making the double-time synths louder at the first part could probably make the mix messier since some of the notes could clash with one another. in hindsight, I should've made the double-time melody louder before the second melody... Sorry for making a huge essay about it, but glad that you still enjoy the remix either way.

This is spectacular! I'm curious though how you were able to use Muse Sounds in Cakewalk. Did you complie in Cakewalk only or use it to compose with the sounds as a plugin?

I composed the orchestral scores on MuseScore first before exporting it to audio, and then to Cakewalk for adding the extra stuff. I would update and re-export the score as needed as the project develops.

Peppino would probabily have the running speed of toon link, but his side b would be a mach 3 sprint (comparable to sonics run speed) on ground and a comand grab that deals low damage in the air and forces a pile drive (even over a pit, can't cancel.) His up B would be same as mario's, but less height and instead of several small hits it would be one huge hit with a sweet spot at the very end of the ascension (or start of assension if grounded) Down special would summon a cheese blob to throw Final smash would be a super taunt into the pizza head ascension on targeted fighter (radius of supertaunt is the affect range)
