Although Ken Maynard, Hoot Gibson and Bob Steele only made three of these movies together, it is often printed or recalled that they made more. The human memory is a funny thing. Back when these were shown on television, they were shown two or three times in a week or a month. Kids didn't care...They would watch these over and over again. So it registered in their memories that the trio made more than three films. Maynard and Gibson made the initial two...then Bob Steele and three more were made before Maynard due to his dislike of Steele and of Bob Tansey, the director.

I’ve often wondered why the robbers chase the stagecoach, why not stop it w/a roadblock? It’s the excitement of chase I’m thinking, as some films w/other excitement have the tree or boulders on road.
