Man how awesome! I was a huge Deegan/Mulisha fan growing up. Met him and a bunch of the boys back in the day at the Gravity Games in RI. Me and my buddies wanted to get on the dirt bike platform so bad. Ended up getting Deegans mechanic to give me his pit pass on the last day but security still wouldn’t let me through. Metzger was giving them a hard time trying to convince them but no dice. So sick that his kids are in to racing/riding keeping the legend going!

I think Brian Deegan was the last kid to buy a dirt bike with a paper rout. His was a mini bike, (Honda MT50?) but I bought 3 brand new bikes making $1.00/hr part time at my Dad's little rural highway side, 3 isle, gas station/store, starting in 76. This was a huge boom for the sport and the reason way it got popular in the first place, (ten times ore bikes sold in the USA then compared to today). That Boom started to fade away after the 1986 production rule tripled the cost of a bike in 5 years, and today, with the 4-strokes forced on the industry, no kid is going to buy a new bike to race, unless their parents rode and the parents can afford it. I was too young for the muscle car era, where 3 grand would get you a brand new 350hp muscle car, but that era got destroyed by the EPA too, and get this,----while Europe still plays with works bikes/parts, and china has no environmental regulation that drove up the cost of our goods. Are those the historical facts or not? We should not ignore them. Those memories were reality.
