Am looking at getting a full Silk setup but I have to order and can’t try it first. Have you also tried the Armstrong HA 880? Would love to hear your thoughts if you have.

@@ClivehWright The AFS UHM80 mast is stiffer (for me with 97kg that is quite relevant). The Silk 1050 is faster and turns better with more grip. the HA880 has a bit more glide but operates in more or less the same wind/speedrange. In bigger waves the Silk stays more neutral,/doesnt create as quickly more fromtfoot pressure, so the range of use is very wide. Its a trully magic foil so bought it (and the 850 and some other AFS foils).

How does this compare to the Axis ART v2?

Chalk and cheese. The silk is like a stunt plane, the ART v2 a glider. Both excel in their field, the ART’s efficiency, speed range and glide make it next level for connecting fat bumps. The silk loves to bank into a hard rolled turn on steep sections and doesn’t flinch at turbulent water.
