📢 Dive into story
While passing through the frozen Lake Baikal, people spotted a helpless deer struggling to make its way onto the shore. Upon seeing the approaching humans, the deer began emitting sounds of pure fear. Realizing that theн had come to help it reach the shore and thereby save the poor creature, the deer calmed down and placed its trust in these kind people. Give a like to these kind-hearted people and subscribe if you're grateful for the rescue.

On Lake Baikal, there may be frosts of -45-50 in such circumstances, the ice easily has a thickness of several tens of centimeters. Let's say I live not far from the Urals, our average temperature drops to -20 -25, sometimes there are frosts up to -32 and the thickness of ice on rivers is sometimes 30 cm, I think on Lake Baikal the thickness easily reaches a meter.

Animals react in 3 ways fight/flight/ forfeit. For those of you saying this deer didn’t calm down let me show you something. A deer not calm would have IMMEDIATELY STOOD UP UPON THE SNOW! Deer are aggressive they will fight! This deer realized it could not run, it was not in a state to fight so it fortified. The second they were on the snow the deer did not react meaning by that point the deer had caught on to what was happening… DEER WILL BITE AND ONCE HE THOUGHT HE HAD A CHANCE HE WOULD HAVE FOUGHT TO GET FREE AND FLIGHT! it’s the nature of a deer Most prey flights, fights, THEN forfeits the fact it maintained a forfeit even after an opportunity to fight and flight tells me the deer was somewhat calm.

Yes. It's also a wild prey animal who's main reaction to literally everything is flight, is otherwise helpless, and can't fly. It's not about intelligence it's about being denied your only anti predator defense. I've seen a cow get stuck after falling while in a head gate, it didn't move a muscle, and let me tell you that the animal was petrified from start to finish. If you can't run you fight, if you can't fight you freeze because on the off chance you get a opening to bolt you have to be ready, and there's no point in breaking a limb attempting a futile escape any sooner.

@@peapod5629 People like you who go through life only assuming the best possible interpretation of things are always the most evil and shitty people. You're completely delusional about what other creatures think and feel and you will only interpret them in ways that benefit you. Just stop. This animal has no idea what is happening. It has shut itself down and gone into complete hypoarousal/freeze, because it has no way to escape the situation. It's an extremely common evolutionary advantage that allows prey to lower the arousal of predators, allowing better odds of an escape. Why do you think they didn't show the ending of the rescue? It's because it immediately ran away the first time it could. It doesn't feel grateful about being "helped", it feels relief that it got away from a dangerous and scary situation.

A lot of Animals lick their Mouths when they are exposed to extremely stressful Situations because they are very afraid and in fear for their lives. This is very stressful for them, so the licking is a sign that they are not feeling well. This licking can be seen in many Animals such as Dogs, Cats, Rabbits, Deer, etc. Their Eyes are then wide open, their Tongue licks their Lips, they react in escape mode or are so frightened that they hardly escape and are blocked and stay in one place, which in turn becomes very dangerous for them.

The deer got scared and froze, which helped the rescuers save it. These videos make us feel warm inside by attributing human emotions to animals, even though it’s not true.
