Ogcd and gcd might be not out there for every game but gcd is nothing new for mmo players.

As a Paladin main, I have to admit that I cannot quite understand how the new version is supposed to flow, even after watching 5 different videos on it. Old Paladin was easy for me, once I learned to just split the rotation into three phases (FoF physical, No FoF physical, and Magical), but the new rotations just feel like you are throwing things at the wall and it somehow sticks. Royal Authority giving both Atonement stacks and a Divine Might buff also makes things seem more confusing. Is there any advice someone can give to help me understand how new Paladin is supposed to flow?

Essentially, all your big cooldowns (Fight or Flight, goring blade, requiescat) are on a 1 minute cooldown, and FoF works on all damage now. So instead of the 3 phases you listed, you have 2. Phase 1: your FoF magic phase where you're basically popping fight or flight, goring blade, and requiescat, into 4 confiteor, and then prioritise your most powerful fillers (atonement and buffed holy spirit) until FoF falls off. Then you're in phase 2: your filler phase, where you're just doing the 1-2-3 royal authority combo, into atonements, into a buffed holy spirit, until the one minute timer ticks down and you do your FoF, goring blade, requiescat moves into another 4 confiteor combo. This is it at its simplest. There's complexity, like: Your OGCDs (you can fit 1 expiacion and a circle of scorn in both phases, so try to) , Or: 'when you cast a buffed holy spirit can be moved around freely inbetween each cast of royal authority' Or: trying to set up your FoF magic phase to already have some atonement/buffed holy spirit charges on hand ready to go, but you will work that out yourself once you've got that basic flow down.

Really appreciate this! Since the rework, I haven't seen anyone with a comprehensive guide, just openers/rotations that were mostly geared towards raiding. I have all tanks at 90 but, I generally only use them for hunt trains, and I never played PLD because it seemed too complex.The relative simplicity of new Paladin made me want to give actual tanking a shot, but I didn't really know where to start. By covering all aspects of the job, you've given me the confidence to give it a go.

New PLD is interesting to me, it seems like a great direction and it feels good but I'm hoping for a bit more in the future (7.0), It feels like they could flesh out a lot of PLD's utilities and rotation (at least to me), while getting rid or merging buttons for space. I'm holding out hope PLD will be looked at more in the future, but this new pld is a step in the right direction.

In all honesty all jobs could really do with having buttons merged at this point especially since this game IS intended to be played on a console, even something as simple as merging every jobs 1-2-3 combo onto a single button would be a huge help.

Currently no jobs are so imbalanced that they would hold people back. As for the first question, Paladin is really good as it stands right now! The rotation is very easy to follow, it's defensive options are great and it has an excellent pool of utility options, it's damage is a bit on the lower side compared to GNB and DRK but it still deals respectable damage! Hope this answers that!

For dungeons honestly just 1 active at all times with 3 or more enemies is a good bet. You'll be fine. Starting with holy sheltron then something like rampart then back to holy sheltron then a different defensive cool down. Just keep this pattern up while fighting. For raids it's similar and I just use holy sheltron for the tank busters

Idk if you meant it as in like the context of use it with every single fight or flight window. But you said said use circle of scorn with every other fight or flight window. To me it sounded like you were saying to skip one fight or flight window but idk if it's just me. At roughly 1:55

Everyone is talking about how clear the guide is and I'm sitting here in so much confusion that I think tanking is insanely complex. I think i'll just stick to my DPS. You have to have 5head to play tanks. thinking about what mitigation cooldowns to pop and counting seconds until something else comes off cooldown .

The description of skills and usages was really helpful! Unfortunately I can't follow the rotation advice on screen, since the skill names are so similar and the clicking of ogcd's barely noticeable on the skill bar 🥹 Is the tool, showing the pressed skills in a time lime not allowed anymore?

Typically 3rd party tools aren't allowed so I don't use them in my guides, except Gshade but that's whitelisted.... admitely I could of done a better job at displaying the rotations but I rushed near the end of the video as it began to take its toll on me.. but I'll try my best to better visualise the rotations in future videos! 🙏
