A big issue i have with a lot of the items is they stack terribly for seemingly no reason Luminous shot, knockback fin, noxious thorn, warbonds, you look at how awful stacking these items is compared to ATGs, bands or bleed and it just doesn't make sense It feels like they were scared to commit to one of the main power fantasies that makes Risk of Rain unique

90% if not all of these items feel AI generated. Ask chatgpt to create items for ror2 and you'll see how horrendously they stack. Tried it right now and asked it to create white items, i created either shittier clones of already existing items, a white rarity clone of leeching seed (literally just better) and a knockback reducing item for the player. How tf does a living breathing real human go ahead and think "Yeah this game NEEDS a common item that gives airtime TO THE ENEMY"

luminous shot is pretty fun on railgunner because you can charge it up to max by just using your scope snipe, and you can set it all off using the mega R-shot and hitting it OUT OF SCOPE, it’ll count as an M1 attack and apply the luminous shot

Longstanding solitude is ass if you dont loop or you dont have econ items like cards sale star shorm ect. Extra levels don't matter when you factor in the exponential power increases of items especially proc chains. If you cant level up enough to get all the items on the sage you're losing out on exponential power for a bit more additive power. Cleansing pools are also uncommon and only appear on about half the maps and arent even guaranteed.

even if u dont loop or have gold items, it is still really good. you will out level enemies very quickly and won't have a problem looting (you might actually have to rush out of stages so you don't waste stacks tbh!). increasing stats will increase the damage of everything, including things that normally can't, like tri-tip. dont take my word for it, play with it and youll see

Corrections and notes: Knock back fin has an internal cool-down of 5 seconds meaning no one enemy will ever get knocked up more then once every 5 seconds The reason sawmerang makes eletricboomerang bleed is because hopoo made it apply bleed to any boomerang type projectiles but never expected another boomerang item Chronic expansion is completely wrong, first stack gives you only 6% damage AND the damage increase is actually level. 1. Base. Damage. Which means the damage increase is usually 0.5 damage per buff and never scales with your level so if you’re dealing 100 damage, now you’re dealing 100.5. However each stack increases damage gained by another 1% for some reason so if you have 20 buffs, the 20th gives you 26% damage, the next 27% and they all individually add up meaning each gives you way and way more which means it is either completely useless or absolutely gamebreaking with fmp with 0 in between Antler shield starts at 55# chance not 50% Warbonds gold is calculated separately then every instance of gold scaling which means it usually gives you less then 3 chests Noxious thorns bleed is based off of enemies proc co (and damage coefficient) meaning certain attacks will give bleed that lasts even down to 0.3 seconds and dealing near no damage. And currently even the bleed part is bugged and not only never applies anything other then bleed, it only gives you one of it Warped echo increases total eclipse curse by 1.5x Luminous shot is extremely weird so I just suggest for y’all to check out the *official* w, iki on it because it’s way too much to type here Long-standing solitude or absurd because it doesn’t give xp based off of the gold gave and is instead converted to a % of cap when any gold is gained, getting further stack also (significantly) Increases the amount of times you need to get xp to level up inturn gives you more chests but that was covered in the video Only 1 meteor from runic lense can exist at once per player giving it basically an internal cool-down Sonorous whispers actually only has a 3% chance of an item on elites (yes, they got it wrong even in the patchnotes) Growth nectar misses a whole lot of buffs that should effect it but I won’t get into it Please pin this comment, let the people know!!! Great tierlist! I think warped echo should be B at most. For a gray item, it relies on other items too much. It's not that good by itself. Prayer Beads should move to A. It's good but not game winning by itself unless you find a printer, which is probably an oversight.

I had a run with friends in which I kept continuously dying and getting revived as the Seeker. We thought maybe her revive ability was bugged or something, but I later realized that one of us had a Bottled Chaos/Gesture of the Drowned build going, and it was pulling the Seed of Life revive effect repeatedly throughout our stages. That player would have dragged our corpses through the game forever.

I'll be honest, I did not understand Prayer Beads at first. I thought all it did was give you 20% extra exp. I did not realize what it actually did was straight up just boost your stats. When I found that out for the first time, this item shot from F to S tier, lol. If you find a printer, it's literally an instant win button.

I think growth nectar only refreshes when some other buff refreshes. Like if you have 5 stagnant non updating buffs (eg: desperado or opal) then the buff will go away after 5 seconds but will come back after something gets refreshed like tonic refreshing

Good video, watched all of it. You changed my mind about how good longstanding solitude is but I think it's an egregious design that shouldn't be in the game. Does it exchange gold to xp at the same rate the teleporter does? If so, you can just "play" longstanding solitude by not purchasing chests. And if this is true, then longstanding solitude's effect is just that you get free chests sometimes. Which I guess is strong. If the exchange rate is better than teleporter then this item is clearly good. If the exchange rate is the same I am baffled that this item exists. Perhaps people should be spending less gold on chests to get higher levels. I understand levels are superbly underrated, but picking up items is what makes the game fun. I'm so conflicted over the design of this item.

It feels like a lot of the DLC items poorly communicate exactly what they do which leads to all the confusion. For long standing solitude “gold into experience” sounds incredibly underwhelming since many players are used to experience sorta hitting a plateau past level 25. Also not sure if it still works but knockback fin + razor wire is actually game breaking in Simulacrum. Had a run with some dudes where one engi stacked bungus so the whole map could be a healing zone and our false son had like 90 knockback fins from putting everything he had into a printer for it (for the bit). He would stand in the void where every tick would shoot a razor wire out which proc’d knockback fin and every enemy would travel so high into the skybox they died instantly. He gradually stacked more razorwire to increase the range. I’m confident a solo engi could do that in any simulacrum run. The run only ended because void enemies started spawning and the game was not happy with enemies spawning and instantly being killing causing void explosion chains.

honestly hard to give it a ranking anybody would agree with. i dont think people value (or understand) stats, and several people have already argued that prayer beads aren't good because if you go straight to the boss fight you might not be able to scrap them. personally, without the free win printer, i'd put it A. even better when paired with a longstanding. i might have to make a video showcasing this though, because it doesn't seem intuitive

I think you should place noxious thorn higher, it's one of the best crowd control items in the game. If you don't know, it has a hidden mechanic where all enemies that were bled by the thorn will only attack the enemy that procced it. Try it out, but you never need more than one stack.❤🔥

Unstable transmitter is good agains lasers or machinegun fire, so it will always save you agains titans, aurelionite, false son, chimera wisps and clay templars, i wish the threshold was higher because it just makes you lose the watches and elixirs. Honestly they should fuse this item with old war stealthkit, both are very mid items but are interesting when combined together

Omfg thank you. This is the only tier list in contact with reality. Everyone hated the dlc launch so much that they deluded themselves into thinking every item was unusable trash just so they'd have another thing to bitch about. Warped Echoes is a fantastic defensive layer that only gets better on eclipse. Knockback fin is basically just a sidegrade to stun grenade and in a sane world they'd be in the same tier. Chronic expansion and lantern are both white flat damage multipliers. There is no world where a white flat damage multiplier is anything less than s tier. Antler shield is the only white item I'd consider actively bad and even then there are supposed to be a small amount of bad items in every rarity. The only issue with the items is that they didn't add a healing item or speed item. That's why the overall item pool feels weaker. It's not the items themselves that are the issue

you're wrong about a few of those warped echo is bugged to apply extra curse on eclipse and I've heard it doesn't even activate planula and repulsion armour (the synergy with shield+opals is very good but specifically the opal interaction feels like a bug since it doesn't happen without shields), knockback fin doesn't stop enemies from attacking so it's worse than stun grenade (launching some enemies like elder lemurians up can actually make them harder to dodge), lantern requires you to stay below half health to actually get value which makes it much less consistent than other damage multipliers
