I found this old dvd and it had The Degrassi Story Documentary hosted by Stefan Brogren aka Snake. Filmed back in 2005 all credits are at the end of the 45 minute special. First aired on CTV in Canada. Not sure if our American friends got to see this special. I'm adding it here as part of my interview collection.

The Zit Remedies were together on many episodes, but I don't remember them playing anything but that one song. I'm 20. I love Degrassi Junior High and Degrassi High and have since I was 17. However I never liked Next Generation at all. In fact I really...really do NOT like Next Generation, and I really don't like the fact that nostalgia has propped it up as the pre-eminent version. I find the original Degrassi a lot more ingenuous and sincere in the way it approaches topics. Next Generation relies too much on typical teen drama/general television tropes in a way that the original did not.

It seems to me that the kids of The Next Generation sound very unappreciative and entitled. Saying things like: Pat is always trying to give me advice on how to play a scene...when he hasn't done this for 14 years! Instead, instead he should recognize that he has been doing this since he was a child AND did win a Gemini Award for his work, maybe he knows what he's doing. TNG kid also made the comment that they're just trying to recreate the old degrassi but with more money, better wardrobe. Sheesh....!
