The Delltones modelled themselves on The Diamonds. The lead singer, Col Loughnan not only looked like Diamonds lead singer Dave Somerville, he sang with the the same polished baritone.

Does anyone know whether or not they are lip syncing? I know that "back in the day" most TV shows prefered that but I am not familiar enough with _Little Darlin'_ to be able to tell.

I have watched this video carefully - I am pretty sure, YES, lip-synced it is difficult for performers to precisely replicate an original released hit - almost certainly, they were invited to perform AFTER their song had become a hit. It isn't easy to produce a hit record 'on demand'. One can check other videos & unless it WAS the first release ( unlikely pre mid-1960's ), almost certainly, a stage performance is put on with performers who ALREADY have become famous. " Just my opinion ".

Good but, comes nowhere close to Diamonds. Even though not the original, Diamonds version always been the best.
