I'm sorry but if the excuses narratives and gaol posts always have to switch around MVP in order to avoid giving the same guy another MVP he is not just an MVP he is by default the MVP of MVPs 😂

Media claims Lamar jacksob is nfl mvp because he had a career year while already being mvp so can't take hin from him. Now in nba they change the narrative every year on jokic. It started he only won cuz of embiid injury. Before his 1st people claimed he didn't deserve ot cuz he had not won in playoffs. He had been to a wcf before his 1st mvp and noqlw with SgA he won ONE playoff series and they make him mvp cuz like embiid he baits for calls

He had a best friend that was a 6'8 top prospect and they both played in high school together. Khelcey Barrs died on the court at 16 from an enlarged heart, and Westbrook started taking basketball seriously to honor his friend. Someone said that Russ plays like he has all of Khelcey's energy inside him. Sad shit, I looked him up and to me he looked a lot like Len Bias, who also tragically died before he could achieve his NBA dreams. Both of these guys would have been similar players to Tracy McGrady, 6'8 super athletic guys that can do it all.

I really respect Joker and whole Nuggets team on giving Russ the confidence and being fun again. I hope that they will win the ring this season.

Sacramento actually got within 5 points of denver in the 4th. They fought like hell. Great performance from both teams.

People are sure being manic depressive about this team. It is either giddy excitement or doom and gloom. A little less pathology and they would be seen for what they are. A possible contender, among three to four teams at the top. And the key to their success is not Westbrook. It is Murray and Porter playing to their potential. If not them, the rest of the supporting cast.

They probably need to make a trade to really compete. The BPMs on this roster are silly. Jokic is at 14.6, which would be the best ever if the season ended now. The next best is…1. That’s Russ. Compare that to the Thunder, where there are 5 players at 2.7 or better, not including Shai or even Chet. Jokic is playing maybe the best basketball ever right now, but he’s only one man.

Trends are more important than stats in a vaccuum. It seems you've not been really following them of late. They started slow, with several new pieces, role changes and injuries - Murray was playing thru a plantar fasciitis, and Gordon has missed 21 games with a hamstring injury. They've barely put their actual starting 5 on the floor so far. Nevertheless, they're currently one of the hottest teams in the league at 12-3 in the past 15 (tied with OKC), with the only losses being a close game against the Spurs where they messed up in the clutch (a rare occurence), and 2 competitive games against Boston and Houston without Jokic. And they've not only been winning games - they've been blowing people out at an average margin of 11.2, second only to OKC's (at 13.5) during that period. They are currently a 4th seed but have easier schedules than both Memphis and Houston from now on, and are just a couple of games away from the 2nd seed, which one can expect is gonna be their final spot if this trend holds. Is finishing as a second seed not "really competing"? If so, that's a pretty high bar you got there.
@mja4wpКүн бұрын
exactly! It's why Joker is also MVP
@DeathFORcameOКүн бұрын
OKC plays really good in the regular season as they are mostly composed of young players that can play hard in regular games, a team like Denver is more of a playoff team, they pace their regular season just to qualify in the playoffs or the seeding they can achieve. So whatever stats OKC has right now, it doesn't matter if it's against Denver in the playoffs.

They need a rim protector, their future rim protector is hirt for the whole season. If we can get a reliable Rim defender with Jokic. It will be good.
