Not many people understand ethics and morality. And, if I had to guess, that generally comes down to a failure in conceptualization. We understand that something like arson isn't morally equivalent to jaywalking, and, in that, we understand that things can be wrong to different extents, but, we seem to fail to realize that things can be wrong in different ways.
In this video, I propose that there are at least three ethical categories. There are likely more. For example, off the top of my head, I may have left out negation; however, I wanted to provide the largest number of categories that would be undisputed across all ethical frameworks.
Hopefully, this video will provide you with a greater understanding of morality, and give you some insight into the linguistic disconnect behind a lot of ethical misunderstandings.
