Fully agree. I pay for YT premium as well. 100% worth it. Ever since that new Twitch CEO took over, the ads, the pay splits, etc. are completely out of hand. When they started talking about taking part of the money when a creator runs a prerecorded ad like the one in this video, I hoped more people would leave. How are they going to take money from a streamer that the streamer negotiated with a company just because it's pre-recorded? Kinda blows my mind that a company hosted and running on AWS needs claims to need more money. They claim to run at a loss, but when the vast majority of their operational costs go to the same company they are owned by, that claim is deceptive. Twitch as a product is profitable to Amazon. They provide Amazon a ton of Twitch user data. Google and YT have a very similar relationship, but YT operates at a profit, mostly because they offer better subscription options. Hopefully, YT will pull more creators from Twitch on exclusive deals.
