For anyone on the fence about signing up for the class, I can tell you I've done previous classes with Heather Lou and she is great fun in the class. She's very real and honest and she gives a ton of extra hints and tips. And yes, I got the Jenna pattern and yes, I have signed up for the class. Looking forward to seeing you in the Class Community group. Oh? Did I forget to mention that? She has a community page where you can ask questions, request more information, get help and, finally, share your makes. LOL. No, I don't work for Closet Core. Just a fan.

Definitely considering signing up for this class as I want to make button up shirts.

I made the cropped version I really like it. I next plan to do the full Jenna shirt in a flannelette fabric. It has a really good shape.

I'm on the hunt for that "big shirt" look from the 1990s, made with a fluid, drapey fabric. It's a style I've collected so many old and new patterns for! The View A looks good - kind of reminds me of Daughter Judy's "Genra" big shirt pattern with the deep curved hem. I'd like to try this one! 😊

The 90s big shirt silhouette is such a classic

I am strongly considering this class after a very positive experience with the Jeans course. I do have one question though - I tend to prefer more fitted shirts, does the course cover darts and princess seams or is it more geared towards looser silhouettes?

The patterns in this course are more relaxed, but you could use it to help with trickier aspects like collar help, tower plackets, etc.

Why did you choose to not have a dart? Should I add a dart if I have a large bust?
@closetcorepatterns11 ай бұрын
It was a stylistic choice in favour of a more relaxed silhouette. If you have over a D cup, you might want to do a full bust adjustment with a dart, but we found in our testing that it isn't necessary
