Love the emphasis on the focus/lack of focus difference. Also love that Ian Davion was a self-sacrificial leader. You know any one of the Davion Guards warriors would have traded places with their Prince in that moment… and the reason is because he was there in the rear, willing to go down to save his troops. I think Hanse did well for the Federated Suns, but I also wonder what Ian's continued reign would have been like. Could he have United the Fed Com without sparking the 4th Succession War? Maybe that conflict was inevitable, or maybe not. Who knows, because Ian bought it in a supreme act of leadership excellence…
