We are lucky Nacua got hurt the lions secondary has a couple rookies and new players that need to learn how to play well together. We will continue to improve throughout the season. As a lions fan I can say I am glad we won but not satisfied at all we have a lot of work to do. It's not all bad though Jameson williams did well and will continue to get better hopefully. A lot of our guys didn't play in the preseason so it makes sense it wasn't the best performance today.

The Lions barely beat a Rams team that was half as good as the one they will face on Sunday night. So unless the Lions are twice as good as they were last year they are in for a real fight. Just because you don't know who Verse, Fiske, White and Curl are don't discount them. The Rams don't need to replace Donald. They need to replace or exceed his production and threat level. They have done that with what could end up being one of the top defensive lines in the NFL. It's going to be a great game but the Lions shouldn't be overconfident or they will get run over.

The arguments are reasonable but it's also very optimistic to expect a blowout here. The Rams are a strong team with excellent offense. NFL football is more unpredictable than many other sports due to fumbles, INTs, funny ball bounces, variable rules interpretations by the refs... All these elements can have a major impact on the game flow and the score. I do hope for a blowout but I'll gladly take a one point win. Go Lions 💪

I wish there was a way the Lions could have kept Sutton. No he was not a great CB, definitely not a #1, but he was good and he would have fit well in their rotation as a #3. Plus, I have been told that he was a great locker room guy with the type of mentality that the team looks for. It's unfortunate that he made the choices that he did to force the Lions hand. Had he just given himself up he may have still been on the team, suspended but on the team. The Lions have a notorious history of being loyal to those that are loyal to them. The drama surrounding Sanders and Megatron's departures does not count towards that as they chose to leave, but look what they did for Stafford who stayed but asked to leave. They traded him, and instead of trying to incite a bidding war they traded him to the team he wanted to go to. They were definitely compensated for the trade but the Rams and Stafford did win a championship. Most everyone considers it to be an even trade, but if Holmes missed on some picks along with the success that those picks brang then it would not have been looked back as fair trade. So the Lions did Stanford a solid, showing that they are loyal to players and coaches that are loyal to them.
