Plan is/was to have a post-elder stage of growth, after achieving which your dragon would slowly age and die. So you could live forever as an elder, but pushing onto the alpha stage would put you on a time limit before your dragon dies in exchange for extreme amounts of power. It would put you on a power level to solo pookie and severely threaten a leviathan. But for clan combat balancing reasons, you can't have it forever. Mind, it's not being implemented until/after 1.0, with no word as to if it'll be back added to the legacy version as of yet.

Anyways, the ancient is very powerful for now so it needs some changes to make it balanced, otherwise it would be too op (3:45 bruhhh), it would be cool if by becoming ancient you deal slightly more melee damage and unlock a new ability (like knocking back smaller dragons at will or an element ability), so at that point fighting is still fair but more interesting. Great video, it was fun to hang out all together :3

idk if it should but i think being elder is enough. also most of the time im in game ppl wanna just breed, and search for elders to beed with, and care just about skins and stats, no role play. am sad.

Congratulations on be a ancient. As to your question on should it be in the game or not. No I do not believe it should be. I believe it would be misused. As in it would be used to bully and harass weaker players.

I think the game needs further balancing before adding ancient- perhaps the features for 1.0 will do. Time will tell. - any MMO seems to struggle with that from what I see. The player's desire to exploit can be a force to be reckoned with. It would be nice to see it in the long run though. Something well equipped for dealing with elementals and sand worms.... other dragons too I guess. Consider the ability to grow young dragons. Perhaps the caves/ crevices will help this Consider what besides size the ancient should have and how that will affect your game balance
