Pretty cool right? 😆 Or maybe I'm just easily impressed 😅

Haha I know what you mean. I play a lot of jrpgs and little details like these always make me smile and get me even more immersed on the world/story. Love to see it

Nothing wrong with it being both. 😊 When you're exhausted or just wander and pay attention to something random. When that something's good, it's pretty neat.

I think its impressive initially because the quality of triple A games has gone down so much that when we see something like this it becomes impressive because we weren’t expecting it.

There is SO MUCH that could be added to this topic, a lot of other things make this gane feel alive too. The artstyle, the animations, the music Its truly a magical game

Really wish they hadn't forgotten about Relink, it sold pretty well from what you can see in the best of steam 2024 chart, but no updates means you can only play mp if you find some mates.

And it's pretty hard to find someone to co-op on steam. Last time I checked there's 5k players playing on steam, but yeah most probably prefer playing alone. Wish the game have crossplay, maybe there's more players on PlayStation side

@@FrostByte262 yeah, it's an amazing game, one of my favorites in recent years but it's not the type of game where you could just hop in once every few months and still find plenty of people to play with, unlike Left 4 Dead 2 and Killing Floor 2, i haven't played those games in years, went back to replay it recently and was surprised there's still so many people to play with. really wish Relink had a longer life span.

I really love stuff like this. It's so simple but adds so much when you notice it. I like to always ask myself "how do I make this NPC feel different from everyone else" and giving them a wholeass mini-story isn't always prudent. This is a very good alternative. I forget which game it was but there was a stall selling ornaments and dangly things. nearby was a cat always looking ready to pounce. then further down there was a person alternating between "oh no should I warn that merchant?" and "none of my business." expressions like they were really struggling with trying to avert the future disaster

To me is watching background interactions. I remember it was quite innovative (?) for Skyrim to have monsters and animals interact independently from the player, so you'd catch a giant fighting a dragon -- which was fun as hell and made the world seem more alive and real. Selling their own actual wares counts, because it makes the game feel like it exists independently of the player.

It also made it feel really homey, especially in the smaller starting area. There was a girl that promoted the little restaurant/inn right next to the quest counter, saying something along the lines of "how about a nice warm bowl of soup?" It's been months since I've last played and I played in Japanese Dub, but I still remember her voice distinctly. Also made me really wish I could go in for a bite to eat, and I could just sit there letting the background bgm play with the small chatter while I did other things around the house.

Well this game was the hard work of the dev team, they love the fans so they don't want to give less experience with in the game

Now that I think about it AK: Endfield and this game combat is almost 1:1 You can't swap character mid-combat in Relink tho

My game of the year right here. Seedhollow is so fun to explore with all of its little things. I know the devs said they'd continue updating the game if enough people wanted it. Although I doubt we'll ever see that number reached, I'm still gonna hope we do.

After watching how Unknown 9 Awakening market shout it not hard to make out which dev really put the time and passion into making their game.

Is Relink considered underrated? From what I read The game was considered a success and a hit on release, but it's weird almost no one talks about it after a month or two after release
@Simon-ur7bi3 күн бұрын
the problem is.....the game is over. All planned content updates are done. So there's not gonna be anything else added to the game anymore, which kinda sucks especially considering how massive the GBF world is. So just like any other game that's just "good", it eventually falls into the shadows as new releases come and take center stage

I was a little surprised seeing that little girl helping her mom with selling veggies and wearing a princess outfit just to make it more weird but it was even more surprising to find out that she is actually the playable character

When nothing catches you attention as abnormal, it's a sign of truly meticulous and polished game design. Do you have any idea how much effort Alyx (HL2) animations took to make players say she doesn't look anything special? That's the highest praise you can get from players: everything looks and feels natural.
