The Devil's Tower

Howdy! Here's the first film of mine produced in Wyoming! Welcome to the Devils Tower National Monument! It remains the first ever national monument, which was dedicated by Theodore Roosevelt in 1906. It was truly humbling to be in the presence of its magnitude of over 800 feet in height. The site is held in great regard for up to 20 separate indigenous tribes in this country. There's even debate about changing the name of the site.
There are several separate stories, hypotheses, and interpretations about how the tower had formed. It depends on the perspective. Something that we do know is that the bedrock is Phonolite porphyry, which is an igneous type. In other words, it was in a magma form that had cooled underground. Something that stood out to me is that even at the top, there is still life in the form of plants, reptiles, and even mammals!
