@@spinglasshydra Wow. I have not done much on this account, so I did not expect to see a reply from a comment I put down five years ago. Well... to answer your question, no. I am not big on the music. And no, I am not in the least bit curious about my "shadow self". I'm not quite sure what that is, honestly. It sounds like an aspect of human nature that embraces darkness, celebrates wrong, indulges in what displeases God, etc. ... Won't lie to ya, I've been there and done that. But Christ really transformed my life so (though I was one way) I'm entirely different. It's like how Paul the Apostle writes to the Corinthian Church, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." (2 Corinthians 5:17, ESV) Through Jesus, I got to see that transformation in my own life. And I guess the biggest part about it is that I'm not really motivated by anything other than a love for God and his Kingdom. THAT tells me that God really has done a HUGE work in my life because that was not the case before. Well... are curious about this "new creation" Paul speaks of? If not, cool. If so, let me know!

@@camraceranimation The "Shadow Self" is a psychology term by the famous Carl Jung. He said that we are made of two distinct parts: light and dark. He used the term and postulated that we are in a constant struggle with ourselves and that we need to come to terms with the "Shadow Self". If we don't, then we repress anger, frustration, fury, bias, judgement, bad-intention, revenge, wrath, sloth, etc. This is not about Heaven or Hell, but instead our fundamental nature as a human being, which does not mean we need to indulge ourselves with evil intent, because it's just not good for anyone or anything. Aswell, I went to one of the best Christian school's in the US, so I do know the Bible and my scripture. I speak to our higher powers all day long, since I'm naturally a prayerful individual myself and I love and care for all living things, not just selectively as most Christian's do. I detest religious hypocrisy, in any faith-based organization. Lastly, I don't think you understand what this band is about. Within the Goth Subculture, yes that's us you probably "judge" when we wear all black - We are "not" Satanists. Black in not my favorite color, it's actually spring-green believe it or not, but I wear black because it makes me feel good. Does the priest or pasture where you worship wear black? It's complete nonsense when we hear Christian Fundamentalist's try to hurl scripture and want us to wear "normal clothes" and is there anything wrong about liking spiders, rat's, and bat's? Sure it's strange, because it is what it is. I have no doubt that you have something I won't like - Like a gun? Goth's have a sarcastic sense of humor, we aren't afraid of death, when we say, or, do something that people want to condemn, it's out of our nature to stand alone, we don't like judgmental people, so stay away, or, try to actually be like Jesus, and speak to us normally. Start a conversation with a Goth, like any other person would - You might be surprised. Ask one of them what was the last movie they watched? If they walk away, then they want to be alone. That's simple enough - Yes? However, we don't like "organized religion", so if someone is Baptist, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Catholic, Church of Later Day Saint's, Pentecostal (now that looks Satanic, if anything else does), etc. and don't push and impose on other's, because it's not necessary. The club's in LA give us new crosses at the door on Christmas time and Easter. People are free to accept them or not. When a friend of mine passes-away, we held a night in her honor and we all consoled the parents. We are actually quite normal about other peoples feelings. That's interesting, isn't it? The Goth Subculture actually laugh at Satan, so there is always a "tongue in cheek" manner or attitude of defiance. Remember, Jesus was a rebel... !!!! If anyone wants to defeat evil, then you need to understand your enemy and not be fearful - Right? Sure there are some people who worship evil, but that's no me in particular. At the club's, me and my friends were at a table, celebrating my birthday and eating cake (yes, the cake was black) and anyone was invited to take a slice. While we were debating something over Star Trek and some kid came up, sat down, look a slice, then proceeded to say "Hey, Satan is really cool, ya". No it wasn't cool and we called the guard and had him removed off the premises. The Devil and The Universe, is a Goth band who are quite good percussionist, and the "Hail Satan" is sardonically place in the music, what's called "sampling" from the Television. You see goat-headed men and think it's "evil", when they're mocking pop-culture garbage. However, I'm curious about how do people like you even find a channel like this in the first place? And we do say: "Go with God"

@@spinglasshydra Hmmm... I had no idea about the Carl Jung reference. Thanks! As for the band... I'm not sure if we'll agree on whether or not this is just "Goth subculture". Either way, this is not really about this being "satanic" and more that this is "not Jesus". Of course, like you said, it helps to build relationships with people and know the people to which you're speaking. It's a little harder on a platform like YT (especially in the comments), but, hey, that's definitely something to consider on my end That said, when I dropped that last message in the comments a while back, it wasn't to judge or criticize or chastise anyone for who they or what they've done. I just know that this is a space where people are genuinely asking/talking about God. For me, there's no greater news to share than that the true and living God sent his Son into the world to save sinners, was raised, and everyone who places their faith in Jesus will not perish but have eternal life.
