Dhani wasn't gifted with a Beatle dad. He was gifted with a strong yet gentle soul who loved him more than life, gave much time and attention to him, taught him what peace and a forgiving spirit looks like by example. He also had the greatest stringed instrument teacher anyone could ever have (for free!) His dad taught him so much more than the technicalities of playing and the instruments, he taught him the feelings these sounds inspire. No matter the instrument, including vocal cords, if there's no feeling, technical perfection means little to nothing. I so wish I had learned to play an instrument... God bless you and your mum, Dhani ❤ From Texas

I now understand the connection between Paul's tribute of George's song "Something" where he opened with a verse on the ukulele. Saw Paul do this at a concert in Philadelphia maybe 7-8 years ago. When the full band came in after the ukulele intro, the tears just streamed down my face. I sobbed through the rest of the song. And I never was one to cry over performers, even when I was 12 when the Beatles first became famous. Don't know where the tears came from, but come they did. Last I saw Dhani was when he played background in the "Concert for George" almost 20 years ago. He has matured visually so much, I barely recognized him!

Harrison would buy guitars and mandolins at Mandolin Brothers on Staten Island N.Y. as did many others. State of the Art stuff. Temperature controlled rooms full of vintage Martin and Gibson guitars, a lot of contemporary luthiers also. I think Matt Umanov in the Village sold him a vintage Strat. Those were the days, my friend.
