This case is so crazy, im from Houston and actually work right down the street from the heights. If you ask, everyone knows this story but NOBODY talks about its exactly like you said it was swept under the rug even now. A friend of mine her uncle was one of the victims and her mom never speaks a word about it. And in my opinion is one of the worst serial cases in history but there isn't a word spoken about it, its insane.

Wanted to say first of all, all of my love and condolences to to your friend and her mom... 😢 Must be terrible to live with knowing what this monster has done to a family member of one your friends.. If you ask me, I can almost 100% say dean was and still is, one of the worst. Who got the easiest way out. That makes me so mad. He needed to rot. Instead he got the quick and easy way out. It truly makes me sick as it disgusts me 😢

I have never understand the runway thing in any case ever. “They’re not technically a missing person until they’ve been missing 48 hours” BUT they acknowledge the first 48 are the absolute most important. Absolutely despicable and shame on every police officer that turned away and did nothing but apply the runaway excuse

I'm a Houston native and still live in the area. There was alot of corruption in the Houston PD back in the 70's that along with the fact that the Heights back in the 70's was considered more for lower income families and PD considered anyone missing from that area was a missing person since there were quite alot that actually did leave home unannounced. They sure caught flack after the fact. Took many more years to straighten out all the corruption.

He shot the devil, in his freaking head to stop this madness once and for all. And for that I feel like he needs to get some credit and that makes me feel bad for him. Because of him most of the families got their loved ones back and give them a proper burial... To have the very least you know? And with that they also got answers because of his honesty. Usually it surprises them too. First time, I was at one the woman literally said you understand me? Ask for her daughter and to see the grandson that was born after she was in this state, then told every aide that abused her and by name. So, there's that.

Just come across your channel, have seen a few excellent vids, and I'll be subscribing. Presentation and contents, fabulous in every way! I've seen a number of documentaries about Corll over the years and yours is by far the most the most comprehensive. Thank you for acknowledging the families and their horrible suffering so much: I feel they have been totally overlooked in other documentaries about Corll. As a gay man, this resonates in various ways for me, and I find myself so horrified and nauseated at the actions of this more-than-monster who took away all of the potential of those young men for his utterly diabolical motives. The ultimate tragedy is that at the end he wasn't just wounded badly so that he could suffer excruciatingly until being put to death.I can but hope that in his last moments he truly did suffer horribly. At this point in time having your back windows covered up is not illegal. I am not sure about back then, but right now and for the longest time, you can get a van without windows at all in the back. It is common in work and delivery vehicles. They don’t want to park it, have some random people walk by, they see something in there valuable, then smash the window and take it.

I think if Wayne and David were truly sorry for what they did, they would stop appealing and retraumatizing the families. The fact that Wayne later walked back on killing anyone besides Dean is obviously downplaying it. Also, not having a fully developed brain because you're a minor doesn't mean you don't know torture, murder, and rape is wrong.

I feel like he still redeemed himself in the end by killing dean and bringing all this to light, but ur right tho he should stay in prison tho cuz his involvement in this was definitely insane.

I had the same condition when i was in 4th grade. I got a treatment for one snd a half years. 1 penicillin shot a day, and an anti inflammatory shot once a week for five hundred something days. Thank God, treatment was successful

Unfortunately every country has them. Though if we are talking sheer number of victims (and are not including people like Hitler, Pol Pot and Stalin) Colombia seems to stand out, with 2 in particular having killed and tortured HUNDREDS of children. Luis Garavito, Pedro Lopez (Colombia) Jim Jones, Samuel Little, Dean Corll, John Wayne Gacy (United States) John Bunting, John Wayne Glover (Australia) I have particular disdain for killers that target the most vulnerable. Children, elderly, disabled. John Wayne Gacy and John Wayne Glover have very similar names, the former targeted adolescent boys, the latter targeted elderly women. John Bunting tortured in very similar ways to Dean Corll, though very different motivations. Absolute cowardice. I still consider Jim Jones to be the worst mass killer in US history (and outside warlords, probably the worst). None of those people wanted to die, he forced them. Granted this is not the same as a serial killer which is over different time; I understand that. But come on….300 of them were CHILDREN. The guy was an absolute monster.
