General Aladeen reminds me of King Julien from "All Hail King Julien" but then I remembered, he was the one who voiced King Julien in the Madagascar films and basically gave King Julien his personality as the character was only an extra, originally given one line but then Sasha Baron-Cohen added an accent and adlibs thus the writers rewrote the script to make King Julien one of the supporting characters on the film.
