She touched on it and made a great point, but I want to elaborate... if you order an iced coffee it automatically comes with a sugar syrup called classic syrup. If you don't want your iced coffee sweetened, order an iced coffee no classic syrup and add your dairy. I only like half n half in my iced coffee so I was thankful when the batista explained that to me.

There are two versions of Frappuccinos - one version non coffee which was creme based Frappuccino and coffee version Frappuccino. Macchiatos at Starbucks are not the traditional macchiatos that you find in Europe.

I’m just a bit confused on the iced americano and the latte. So I topically order: a triple on ice” with whatever syrup and milk and they give me the cup half empty. So then she explained that to get a full cup I’ll have to get an iced latte (which originally brings milk) but obv the tasty is not the same, and the latte is more expensive bc of the syrups and whatnot. So is there like another way to get a full-flavorful iced coffee but $5 or less???

All the disclaimers at the beginning, but honestly most people are also not coffee experts. I’m for sure not. If I say I want coffee, then I probably mean I’m gonna go to Starbucks or Dunkin’ Donuts. macchiato is a layer of vanilla syrup at the bottom, milk then espresso and caramel drizzle. americano is one extra espresso shot than a latte with water instead of milk

Don’t want to appear rude or anything but starbucks have their own definition of what some coffee drink are and it’s not always a good thing. For example a Machiato at starbuck is a fairly large coffee drink usually with added sweetners. In all the rest of the world the machiato is a single shot of espresso with a splash of milk froth to leave a mark thus the name machiato meaning mark in Italian.

Definitely not real coffee and is a black coffee is bitter it's bad quality coffee, old beans or you're not asking for the type of roast you like.🤷🏾‍♀️ I don't understand Starbucks I went there and the language was not proper coffee language... I hate it when some Starbucks baristas pretend they don't know how to make the shaken espresso right. Or maybe they just haven't figured it out? I remember when it first came out, or started getting really popular it was frustrating cause I felt like it wasn't that good. But then over time they seemed to improve. And then it got Really good! It wouldn't have been that big of a deal but $6 and $7 for one drink is too much and you really shouldn't get away with screwing it up. Imho I learned that when you make the brown sugar shaken espresso which is my most favorite drink of all. You have to make it to where the espresso seeps to the bottom and the cream at the top. And make sure there's sufficient amount of cinnamon. For some reason that gives it the best fragrance and flavor and it's like floating on a heavenly espresso cloud!

I work at starbucks so I can give some insight, cold brew is slightly more bitter than brewed coffee (IMO, heard some said its sweet tasting) cold brew takes 20 hrs to make and its basically heavily concentrated so when you pour it into kegs, add water and ice. the caffeine difference is (I believe) cold brew has more than brewed coffee.
