Can you get similar results if you use keratin/ smoothing products (such as shampoo and conditioner, etc.) without getting the actual treatment? For example, will it still eliminate the frizz and loosen the curl pattern? Perhaps over time?

Not really.. you need something that locks into the hair

Hair Botox sounds like keratin from what I’ve ready tbh. And no, haven’t tried the collagen mask but honestly these things are similar to a keratin. I think they just use different words for marketing (unless I’m mistaken)

Is an Avlon texture release treatment safe to use on an 8 year old? We don't want completely straight hair, just her curls loosened so it's easier to style and so her curls can stay elongated as her curls shrink so quickly. Im just so nervous about causing any damage to her hair. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Texture release is fine for that age but it’s a long service so she might just be uncomfortable. It shouldn’t alter her curl pattern much at all if you go to a good salon

You can start but I’d wait until there’s at least 4 inches of natural hair growth first
