Being a guy from Sweden (and I'm successful and rich), I agree with a lot of what you're saying. Swedish girls like confident guys, but bragging about your status, money or otherwise does seem more like you're insecure and trying to overcompensate for something according to a lot of Swedish girls (and guys). American culture is a lot about "the bigger, the better", which you see in everything from cars etc, but it is seen as insecurity here. It's better to have nice and well thought through things that show intelligence here, rather than just "big" things. You mentioned some general things about being an attractive guy in all cultures - I agree with many of them, but I think one thing that Americans tend to misunderstand is that being "loud" is a really good thing in all cultures (in America you are seen as insecure if you're not loud). Swedish girls again want you to show confidence in what you do, not be afraid to walk up to them etc, but being "loud" is seen as insecure here (like you're trying to overcompensate for other things), trying to scream for attention (a secure and confident guy don't need to do that) and generally annoying. Swedish girls prefer guys that are "down to earth".

Trust me most legit average US girls agree with you. I'm from the US and most of us normal women think that a cocky guy comes off as a desperate jerk. I'm French, I'd like to add something else: I've visited the USA several times and I must say first contact with girls from your country was way easier than what I'm used to in Paris. I've come to the conclusion that the myth of the french lover comes from a cultural difference that has nothing to do with seduction: it's way more difficult to break the ice and make first contact with european girls, especially in big cities such as Paris. Thus, french dudes like me tend to misread girls in the US because they are easier to talk to and in France this is the girls' "first line of defense/bullshit" that's the hardest part. A French guy who's just talks a few minutes to an American girl may be kinda bolder than the average aAmerican dude because he thinks he's almost there, and maybe that's what makes a difference: the girl is just being polite but he's thinkin "I've already won." , just because in France that's the way it works: in Paris a girl can be very rude if you try to approach her the wrong way, but if you can make her stop for a moment and get her number, it's already a huge step, whereas in your country, it doesn't mean anything: people a just way more polite and easier to talk to.

@steven cellugi I'm french. That doesn't matter really. Paris is Paris. It is its own thing, like Vegas for instance. The city has its own culture. It's different from the rest of the country, let alone the world. Probably one of the most self-centered cities in the world, and that influences the way people live and interact with others. A small minority of people in Paris are born and raised there. Most people in Paris are french citizens (doesn't matter the background) who came here for work/college, or foreigners that became french, want to, or are here for a few years for work/college. As long as you've lived more than 2/3 years in Paris, you get the culture, the way of life, the habits, the social dynamics, the idea. It does not matter how long you lived there (in terms of "are you "traditional" or "modern" Parisian, whatever that means). Nobody there think in these terms, apart maybe from a very rare, dumb, arrogant, self-centered "elite" (at least that's how they view themselves) of "pure Parisians" that live in their own bubble. You probably won't encounter them. And you don't want to deal with these anyway. The longer you've been there, the easier it is to "get it" though. The "street scene" can very harsh, wild, dirty. People subconsciously see it as a "war zone" kinda, girls especially. Cold approaching in the streets is difficult, not well-received at all. People are aggressive, girls are on the defensive. Bars, cafes, social gatherings are much better. As a culture, the french, (and other Europeans), are way more into Arts on average than most other countries. It's a cultural thing, you're surrounded by Art everywhere, it influences the way we're taught at school from a very young age. It's been at the center of our culture for centuries. So I personally find more people are interested in Art, and have opinions and knowledge to share. If you're into art, you'll probably find more people, and, by extension, more girls, interesting, especially in big West European Cities (Rome, Madrid, London, Berlin, Paris, Bordeaux, etc).

So you study all these techniques, spend hours and hours of time dating women, all to get one in bed. However, I had to completely re-calibrate myself especially when it comes to girls. Escalation is very different here, the dating model is VERY different here and frequently, indeed rather delightfully, the girls will make the first move on you as far as making out or whatever. Getting laid is a lot easier, however finding a partner is a lot harder. In most of the U.K. there is a lot of poverty and social insecurity, so people tend to jump into relationships very quickly. I had men in porsches who worked for Pharma companies coming onto me, literally telling me how amazing he was...and it wasn't attractive at all. It actually made me lose any interest I may have had. I didn't care at all. He seemed shallow and hollow. He couldn't hold a conversation outside himself, and that was so gross. I wanted an interesting man who had hobbies and intelligence. A man who was protective, but wasn't running into a fight. I like the man who stops the fight, not wins the fight. I dressed very elaborate (I was a model at the time), but I wanted the comfort man lol. I was raised to dress elegantly and proudly when leaving the house (leaving in your pjs in our house was a huuuuuge NO, it did not happen). But a lot of those men who weren't interested in material things would assume I was a material based person because of my dress, but that was not the case at all. I lived in Latin American for a year, and although there is an abundance of beautiful women there and it's easier to get laid than the U.S as an American guy (assuming you know some of the language), the cookie cutter push-pull, high-intensity, rsd style interactions don't do well there at all. The majority of 1st gen Latinas don't understand western sarcasm, and they think that negging a girl is just plain offensive. Light teasing is ok sprinkled in here and there, but the shit you can get away with in the states does not work at all; in fact most girls think it is weak and socially weird. Once I realized that, my results went through the roof. They are definitely more on the comfort end of the spectrum, similar to European girls.

From my experience, and what you're saying about Americans and Europeans, British girls are a totally crazy mix of both. Whenever I've gotten to a point with a girl where I'm starting to create sexual tension, they're either super on-board, or will just kill it dead and the whole thing just fizzles out. You ever spend any time in the UK?
@grcamatter7 жыл бұрын
Thanks Todd! I live in Greece and it's more like the Swedish culture for sure. Here, one of the challenges is making them feel secure and paying attention to the surrounding area for other males or females who play the protectors. Another thing is being too boisterous can be a real turn off. Everyone knows everyone, and because of the bar set up it's more relaxed. Though it's easier to become friends with someone, pulling them and kissing them on the fly is not recommended. There is always exception. Women here are well dressed get attracted by money. Because of the the on going economic crisis there could be unforseen factors. (which I'm calberating for)

Interesting, because normally you guys are talking about pick up in terms of how humans are hard-wired from evolution, but in this case Swedish behavior is based on "current" socio-economic environment, and not primitive urges. So it's kind of a contradiction there.

Todd Valentine Not gonna lie, on this issue im getting super confused about what my frame is, and if my goal is still "be highest value possible" generally or if in Denmark, Like sweden, its going to be more "be a non-needy nice Guy. " In terms of value and comfort im not sure how to do high comfort in a way that works, because its so archipypally needy.
@codeninja1007 жыл бұрын
They’re actually pretty similar. The reason women chase the high value guy in America is because he has this assumed level of stability. European women chase a man whose “been at the same company for years” as Todd puts it is for the same reason: Stability. Women across the board just want someone who makes them feel secure. There’s just different ways of approaching it depending on where you live

I'm Norwegian and everything he says in this video is true. It really speaks to his skill to figure that all out over the course of a few days and adapt in such a way. What a lot of people over here like to say when talking about the cultural differences between Scandinavians and Americans. Is that Americans like to sell themselves and brag, make everything seem grand etc. Or that they think they're better/more valuable than others. Where as all Scandinavians are considered equal (even celebreties are to a great extent). In fact many are repulsed by that American stereotype I just explained. Now how accurate the stereotype is doesn't really matter, but it goes to show the difference in values and what the general population find attractive or obnoxious/unnatractive. As a side note a friend of mine in High school was born and lived a bit in Miami, and he had very high value, confidence to the point of arrogance and he attracted many girls in my high school. I remember one girl telling me that when he just asked her to borrow her charger it got her wet and turned her on in class. That always interested me and it goes to show that opposite of tging can indeed still work if done right. Ironicly, despite growing up in Norway, I first started getting laid over in the U.S. (California).

Looks, being nice, modesty was gold there. I'm not alpha male at all. Gorgeous, tall, slim, shy, nymphos everywhere. They REALLY like handsome Americans. Or somebody different. American women want alpha, bad boys, cocky, wealthy as they get older. I did only average or above in America. From Minnesota.

The fact that one is willing to make "adjustments" to one's personal values in order to attract a woman who one otherwise would have little or nothing in common with demonstrates that one is not the "high value man" one is portraying to be. I know that many women value a man who is financially well off but I'll tell you this, I have NEVER heard a woman explicitly state her preference for a financially well off man like black women. I remember one time I was at a mall and I overheard these black girls talking. Keep in mind that they were in a group with what appeared to be close friends so I have to assume that they're were being very candid and honest in their discussion. This black girl was talking about how exited she was about this man she met, at one point she literally said "ooohh that nigga got an Audi coupe" she was so exited like she just caught a trophy fish. I was honestly shocked because I've never heard a woman be so blunt about it. I want to be clear though that getting rich won't get you laid. If you learn how to leverage it in the right way it can help but there are plenty of nerdy rich guys who get no pussy. You still need game.

you can meet any type of girl anywhere basically but in general you are right. Americans are similar to Australians, Canadians and NZs. Europeans are the opposite (maybe UK is different). Thats a huge generalisation but overall on average that's right. And it's not only about girls. Guys are also different. I'm from Europe and I've noticed in general people from those US, AU, CA and NZ are much less interested in a meaningful interaction like making real friends, getting to know someone.
