The Difference between Pelagianism and Semi-Pelagianism

I know that under Calvinist theology this only happens to the elect but there are millions of people who have gone on this journey and ended up as Christ followers as a choice. Makes no sense when you at how inclusive scripture is John 3:16, John 12 verse 32… Yes you can read these with Calvinistic lenses on but take those lenses off and a totally new picture emerges.

The interesting thing about Ephesians 1 it says we receive the Holy Spirit once we have believed. Also the bible tells us that God desires everyone to be saved, meaning that in Jesus everyone is “predestined” to be saved but it’s whether people receive the salvation that’s avaliable to them through Jesus

This whole idea of Pelagianism being somehow heretical is rediculous. Surely the right place for a person to be is under the Lordship of Christ and this is the end goal of pelagian teaching.

You have spammed the comments. Pelagianism is an unbiblical teaching and was condemned basically twice. Pelagius was also excommunicated. You need to stay away from pelagianism. God draws you to Him FIRST.

Pelagianism is a heresy. The heresy of Pelagius is firstly, his flawed view of the fall, and secondly that he believed the man could save themselves. Calvinists/Thomists in the West Et Al expand this early condemnation of his heresy to mean that man doesn’t have free will.

Also I think the fact that God chose people in the OT doesn’t mean he pre choses everyone for all time. There he simply chose people and used circumstances to carry the promise forward. Added to this all the choosing dome n the OT was Soteriological it was choosing for a purpose
