Exactly what I needed to know. So will the 27 boot fit in bindings that go to 26.5… rossignol freedom?
@FreeheelLife2 жыл бұрын
26.0 and down is small in Scarpa/Crispi and 26.0 and above is LARGE in Garmont / SCOTT. Hope that helps. If you are purchasing boots from us feel free to reach out to us at customerservice[at]freeheellife.com. Thanks - Madsen

Hi Josh, Is there any difference in the thickness of the sides of the liners between the 26.5 and 27.0?
@FreeheelLife Жыл бұрын
I don’t think I’ve ever learned anything regarding the material being less thick. The 3mm difference in a 26.5 & 27.0 for me has never been noticeable once I heat mold. I interchange between those sizes just depending on what is available. Hope that helps.

Hi Josh which Superfeet insole model do you use?
@FreeheelLife2 жыл бұрын
I roll with the blue with the sort of medium arch. Great support but I don't personally like the green high arch. www.freeheellife.com/products/superfeet-blue-performance-insoles?_pos=3&_sid=c4b50d937&_ss=r

About to get my first boots but I don't have the chance to try any. Telemark has not set foot where a live and I plan to bring it! Sort of like a missionary, an apostle, an acolyte of the freeheel. What I would like to ask is, I wear 44-45 EUR on boots and sneakers and 28 mondo on alpine skiing boots (the dynafit hoji free 110 for reference). How would that translate to Scarpa T2 egos or T4s?

Here's another video we did that goes through sizing at home: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJCZe2t3ichgg8U

What do you do with wide feet?
@FreeheelLife2 ай бұрын
102mm last is the widest current Telemark boot out there. 103mm was the widest but it was the latest SCOTT Synergy in 75mm. - Madsen

I wear a crispi ntn boot 30.5. would I fit a scarpa ntn boot mondo 30 ?
@FreeheelLife Жыл бұрын
Crispi sizing is identical to Scarpa so it breaks on the half size. However to my knowledge there is no 30.5 / 31.0 NTN mondo size in existence. Crispi claims it has it but I believe its the same shell as the 29.5/30.0 shell with a paper thin liner. We only sell Scarpa so you'll want to reach out to Crispi direct, but I hope that info helps a little bit. Cheers. - Madsen

Great explanation.

This explanation misses the point IMO. I wear a 27.5 scarpa boot , always have through several models. I know from experience that a 28.0 is a different size. I know the shell size is the same but have to assume the liner is a bit thicker in the 27.5.
@AnonymousOtters3 жыл бұрын
It isn't. It's just pre-molded to be a different thickness. Same liner, just molded thinner on the larger boot to create volume. Even Intuition, the liner company, has confirmed this

Man shell size doesn't matter. Pull the liner and stuff your foot in there. How much space behind your heel. Doesn't matter if it breaks on the half or full sizes pick how much liner you want thick or thin. I'm a 11.5 foot. In a scarpa 28 mondo I have about 3/8" in. 28.5/29 it's over a half inch. I wear a nylon sock form with a toe cap and bunion pad and then wear a normal sock. In the bigger shell I need an insert a wrap liner and a heavier sock. Talk to your guy!

Totally confusing description of the sizing. I have had the plastic scarpa since they came out and your explanation of the sizing is confusing. Why not just say the shell sizes fit different internal boot sizes across the range of boot models. Actual fit is the best indication of fit rather than size on shell or internal boot. Too long winded description.

You must be pretty dense if it’s confusing for you
