Not much difference, a little less than 要, but can use both in daily life

And the usage it’s a normal verb, 想要doesnt have any restrictions

As far as i know, according to the tone rules “yī bēi” should be pronounced “yì bēi”, yet you pronounced them both with 1st tones..
