I worked for a company, we developed closed die warm forging, we made bevel pinions, sliding clutch gears, coal picks. All went down the pan early 90's, no investment in UK industry.

Good information for production . BUT for forging by a smith it gets much more advanced .

You forgot to mention Hot forging is EXPENSIVE AF! The other two are MUCH cheaper.
