I think his character in Blood of Youth was reallyunique. HIs costumes were so elaborate royal, his hairclip was also regal, his attitude was very confident and high level strategist. XiaoSe is by far the most appealing.

Only if I absolutely must pick. Then I think the lovable loving villain, Shangguan Qiuyue. The character is so multifaceted. There is tragedy of his childhood aside, which makes one want to make up for all the bitter cold. There is his loyalty to his own. Above else some may call him a villainous but he sure seems the only one who clearly knows right from wrong, who can selflessly choose good over evil.

The few scenes from LBTI do not do Justice for how good he played his character in that show, other than his effortless crying scene that he did so well 👌🏽 There’s so many other scenes of the show that portray his amazing acting skills 😌 Him and Lusi are excellent together

Xiao Se is the most appealing AND best looking of those three roles. Everything was great about The Blood of Youth and the best part is the styling was very suiting for Li Hongyi. The wig, the make-up, the clothes... just so well done. Bringing out his best features and making him look real elegant, beautiful and regal. Rank in terms of styling/looks alone: Xiao Se > Bai Yue > Shangguan (I gotta say, they did him dirty as Shangguan for styling. That wig is just not appealing nor was the heavy makeup).

Hongyi does looks most handsome as bai yue but I'll always remember him as shangguan quiyue ......he has a special chamber in my heart😂.....love is better than immortality was my 19th drama and it is the reason why I've watched 150+ dramas..........and there is no costume dramas that i haven't watched😂😂

He should do more dramas. If I had to pick a second one it would be Blood of Youth. I'll probably re-watch after BBTI.

Blood of youth. Overall, all the actors / actresses did an awesome job in blood of youth, each character was unique. His evil character in love better than immortality is interesting, but side characters & 2nd lead were pretty forgettable 😴 so ended up fast forwarding a lot of scene without him.
