If you are a Jazz musician, you really should listen to this album from Dillinger Escape Plan (and perhaps others from them), it's very good actually. Some of these musicians were jazz musicians too. And if you listen to it carefully you will find a lot of jazzy details in them songs. Hope you enjoy it :)

Greg Puciato has the best vocals in metal. One of the greatest male vocalists in all music in my opinion. His range is insane. Huge variety of vocal techniques. Excellent dynamics. I don’t feel like he gets the recognition due because many never listened to Dillinger. He’s sought after by many producers and musicians. His performance on Jerry Cantrell’s last record was beautiful. Imaginary Fire- Carpenter Brut was a showcase of this man’s vocal talent. I absolutely love listening to this guy sing. I’m not usually in to vocals. It’s not that I don’t like them, it’s just that the instrumental arrangements of most songs are what catch my attention.

Well Mike Patton has worked with these guys... I wonder why there might be some similarities vocally. FNM influences a lot of bands amd have Mike especially has influenced many other singers. One good thing with dillinger is they created something "truely" unheard before, and it's kind of rare in this century. Another is that after being surprising at first (in their beginning) they still are able to surprise with things you don't expect from them, without deceiving.
