I’m so grateful to have truly learnt just how important prayer is. I was confused by why it seemed like God wanted me to always be fasting and praying. I truly get it now. Yes read the bible too. You pray better with scriptures saturating your mind. God and the angels respond to the word not our eloquence or duration of the prayer (as important as it is to pray long prayers when saying the right things). We are nothing without prayer and prayer is nothing without the word of God 😢

Fasting and praying with his words intertwine. When Jesus commanded the demons out of the man who lived in the tomb, and sometimes he would take rocks to cut himself. The disciples was amazed, and they ask him how did he commanded those demons to come out, he replied that, those type of devils can only be remove through fasting and praying.

Tell Him you blame Him for your brother’s death. He’s a good God (a Father and friend) who can sympathise with our pain and has lived through everything we live through. Be angry but also know that the anger will one day subside and you can still come back to Jesus and build your intimacy with Him 😢

I lost my wife to cancer after 22 years of marriage. She was the closest thing to perfect. She was my best friend, confidant and the only person I could've counted to have my back no matter what. Now I realize that love and life are just beautiful vacations that need to be enjoyed as they're never guaranteed to last forever. I learned nothing of the dimensions of long prayer. You just called out lukewarmness and the teaching got lost in you scolding the church. It’s like once I’ve seen one of your videos I’ve seen them all. Really wish you would have actually taught something rather than just continually admonish.

He spoke about dimensions of prayer. When you pray short prayers you remain in the outer courts. You’ve got to push yourself beyond the boredom. As you endure, the Lord quickens your spirit. He teaches us that God requires us to wait on him for his empowerment. So if we wait, he will show up and help us in our prayer. We won’t get better in prayer if we don’t learn to endure and push past the heaviness. A dimension is defined as a measurable extent to something. The measurable extent of our prayer - is in how we travail. I hope this helps 😢

He also talked about the physical transcendence of long prayer. He talked about the physical change i.e. Moses, Jacob and Jesus. Contrast Muslim prayer culture. At 1 hour 10 seconds he talks about 16 or 17 hour prayer that brings revival. Early Church had a prayer culture. Stretch it..there's more. Yes there are admonitions because we as individuals and as the Church need correction. We need examples of what we're doing wrong and then how to correct it. Then he talked about the prayer before Pentecost. We can start by praying the Word. Psalms Ephesians, Colossians and Revelation. Pray! And then some more.
